Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: Daniel Quadrino at 54 Below; Spring & Summer: Spring Awakening Cast Reunion; Seth Sikes Sings Judy Garland on Her Birthday; Michele Lee: Nobody Does It Like Me, The Music of Cy Coleman; and Liberty: A New Musical Cast Album Release.

Broadway Records announced today that the Original Off-Broadway Cast Recording of Liberty: A Monumental New Musical, will be released on CD and digitally on Tuesday, May 5th. It is now available for pre-order on the Broadway Records website at http://www.broadwayrecords.com/cds/liberty as well as on Amazon.com and other select retailers.

Following its successful Off-Broadway run at New York City's Theatre 80 in the Fall of 2014, LIBERTY: A MONUMENTAL NEW MUSICAL kicked off a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo for their cast recording. Early in 2015 the cast of LIBERTY and its writers went into the studio at John Kilgore Sound & Recording to make a cast album. BroadwayWorld was invited in for a sneak peek and to hear some of the recording as it happened.

A new musical created by a team of Australian brothers, Paul and Michael Hodge, CLINTON will makes its US debut at the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The new musical will be directed by Adam Arian with musical direction by James Dobinson and choreography by Emily McNamara, it will begin performances July 18 through July 25 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). THE KID WHO WOULD BE POPE by brothers Tom and Jack Megan received the 2013 Richard Rodgers Studio Production Award and Ars Nova produced the corresponding workshop presentations. Directed by West Hyler, the reading featured Jeffrey Lodin, Jillian Louis, Alyse Alan Louis, Angela Grovey, Justin Liebergen, Brian Charles Johnson, Dee Roscioli, Henry Hodges and Courter Simmons.

Today, May 2nd there will be a special industry presentation of the new musical DANGEROUS. Directed by Jeff Whiting, the show is described as 'a 1930s swing-time musical reminiscent of Warner Brothers gangster movies, Hitchcock thrillers, and Casablanca style romance.

The Ogunquit Playhouse is delighted to announce the casting of John Bolton in the role of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein in this summer's production of Mel Brooks' hysterical musical comedy Young Frankenstein, on stage July 10 through July 27. Mr. Bolton takes the lead in this wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend, based on Mel Brooks' film masterpiece, as he attempts to bring a corpse to life with plenty of scary and hilarious complications. Transylvania mania is about to take over the Ogunquit Playhouse when Mel Brooks' hysterical musical comedy Young Frankenstein hits the stage July 10 through July 27. The Ogunquit Playhouse is recreating the Broadway musical, complete with Tony-nominated sets by Robin Wagner and the original Broadway costumes by multi-Tony Award winner, William Ivey Long. Eye-popping special effects and show stopping musical numbers, including 'Puttin' on the Ritz' complete with tap dancing monsters, round out this monstrously fun show.
