Four renowned achievers will be honored for their lifetime accomplishments with the 34th Annual Common Wealth Awards of Distinguished Service. The awards recognize individuals who have enriched modern society in a range of human endeavors. The 2013 Common Wealth Award winners are: Alan Alda, celebrated actor, director and screenwriter, for Dramatic Arts; David McCullough, preeminent author and historian, for Literature; Jane Pauley, leading broadcast journalist, Today Show contributor and author, for Mass Communications; Martin Sheen, film legend, social activist and humanitarian, for Public Service.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center today announced the departure of Robert Koehler, and the appointment of critic and programmer Dennis Lim as Director of Cinematheque Programming. Koehler will step down immediately and return to Los Angeles to focus on personal matters and requests that his family's privacy be respected.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center previously announced two special Sneak Preview screening events in March at the Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) and the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (144 West 65th Street). FSLC will present Oscilloscope Laboratories' REALITY tonight, March 4 and Dreamworks Animation's upcoming 3D film, THE CROODS on March 13. Filmmakers for both films will attend and participate in Q&As.

LUCKY GUY has just announced a student rush and standing room policy for the production, which begins preview performances tomorrow, Friday, March 1 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). LUCKY GUY stars two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. Opening night is Monday, April 1.

Emmy Award winner Holland Taylor received a commendation by Texas Governor Rick Perry making her an honorary Texan on January 10, 2013, for her play Ann about late Texas governor Ann Richards. Ann, a new play written and performed by Emmy Award-winning actress Holland Taylor, began previews on Broadway at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street) on Monday, February 18 and will open Thursday, March 7, 2013.
Last night there was a 'Bosom Buddies' reunion backstage at ANN- Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari came to see Holland Taylor and Bob Boyett's. Check out phtoos from the reunion below!

Writers Guild of America, East previously announced a tribute to award-winning, screenwriter, director, playwright, author, and Guild, East member Nora Ephron. The tribute to Ephron, who died in June, will be led by the author Meg Wolitzer, whose novel, 'This Is My Life,' was adapted and directed by Ephron in 1992 and presented at the Writers Guild Awards East Coast ceremony today, February 17th, in New York City.
