Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota will present its revised Outdoor Performance Season for Winter-Spring 2021. The nine-concert series will feature many of the same artists that had been planned for the 2020-21 season, as well as some new ones, including a return engagement by hometown singing sensation Maria Wirries.

A revised lineup has been announced for Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota's 2020-21 25th Anniversary Season.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing restrictions on travel and live music performances, Artist Series Concerts has had to make adjustments to its 2020-21 concert schedule.

'On a personal level, to me, the piece represented the lineage: a student hears a teachers' voice and is forever changed by it,' Vangeline described. 'A butoh student must be lost to be found, walk in the dark, dive deeply inside themselves, and, as Tatsumi Hijikata said, 'pluck the darkness from their own flesh.'

Pacific Opera's first opera of the season is a gem of the operatic repertoire that has not been performed in Canada in more than 50 years. Puccini's Il Trittico is a triple-bill of one-act operas that, when staged together as the composer intended, provides an emotional roller coaster of an evening. Il Trittico is presented October 17, 19, 25, 2019 at 8 pm, and October 23 at 7 pm, with a matinee October 27 at 2:30 pm. All performances take place at the Royal Theatre, 805 Broughton Street, Victoria.

On Tuesday evening, April 12 North Carolina Opera revealed its upcoming new season at CAM Raleigh (Contemporary Art Museum). Over 300 fans and friends of the organization excitedly gathered for the unveiling of the new season's productions and casting as presented by NCO Artistic & Music Director Timothy Myers, along with live performances of excerpts from the operas.
