Many moons ago, my mother raved about a musical she experienced with a group of her closest gal friends. When she told me the title, 'Menopause, the Musical,' I burst out laughing. How could I relate to that concept and how would that constitute a good time at the theatre?

Today (Tuesday 5 March), actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Jason Manford.

The Media Theatre is taking a trip back in time with 'Beehive: The '60's Musical' March 13 to March 31. The show, created by Larry Gallagher, is a musical tribute to the women who made the music of the era so special - everyone from Lesley Gore to Janis Joplin, from the Shirelles to the Supremes, Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner, and every woman in between! With two dozen beloved hits, the show takes you on a journey through song, documenting the dramatic changes that America underwent during the '60s.

Last month over 200,000 new tickets were released for sale for TINA - THE Tina TURNER MUSICAL, the show based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, with bookings now being taken at the Aldwych Theatre to Saturday 21 December 2019.

Music Director Thierry Fischer and President & CEO Paul Meecham today announced the Utah Symphony's 2019-20 season, with highlights including multimedia concert experiences featuring the twelve movements of Messiaen's Des canyons aux toiles (From the canyons to the stars), the release of Berlioz and Prokofiev recordings on the Hyperion Records and Reference Recordings respectively, and a celebration of Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020. Additional highlights include the return of American composer Andrew Norman to present three of his orchestral works and work with young Utah musicians in his second year as Composer-in-Association; a gala concert with violinist Joshua Bell celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Utah Symphony's first-ever performance, which took place on May 8, 1940; and a tribute to Hispanic Heritage that includes music by Latin-American composers conducted by guest artist Carlos Miguel Prieto.
