IN THE HEIGHTS' Andrea Burns is set to star in Tim Pinckney's new comedy, EVER SO HUMBLE and The Hangar Theatre. The production will run from July 14 through 23. She will be joined in the production by Philip Hoffman and Eric T. Miller. Hangar Artistic Director Peter Flynn will helm the production.

On Monday, September 13, The Actors Fund hosted a party for 'The Friends of The Lillian Booth Actors Home' at Gloria Crest, in Englewood, NJ, the former estate of film legend Gloria Swanson and now the home of the evening's hosts Jan and Edward Turen. The Turens welcomed Tony Award-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell, and the evening's entertainment host Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth. Emmy and Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams, Tony Award-nominated actor/singer Tom Wopat and singer-songwriter-pianist Peter Cincotti and his band, among others performed. Among the world premieres in Ensemble Studio Theatre's upcoming 31st annual Marathon of one-act plays are works by three members of the Ensemble's Playwrights Unit. Opening on May 22, Marathon 2009 will feature world premieres of 10 one act plays and will run through June 27. Playwrights Unit members' works are For the Love of God, Saint Teresa by Christine Farrell, Daughter by Cassandra Medley, and Blood from a Stoner by Jeanne Dorsey.

ANDRÉA BURNS (May 4) began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in West Side Story. Since then she has appeared on Broadway as Daniela in In The Heights, as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty. She has appeared in concerts at Carnegie Hall and many other symphonic halls across the country. She can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Songs for A New World, Saturday Night, Shine, Broadway Bound, The Broadway Musicals of 1953, and It's Only Life as well as her debut solo album A Deeper Shade of Red.
