As Broadway week launches across New York, Broadway shows are lining up performances on the ever-popular Today Show. Next up are Kiss Me, Kate and Beetlejuice.

Today, the ghost-with-the-most makes his Broadway debut in this edgy and irreverent musical comedy, BEETLEJUICE, based on Tim Burton's dearly beloved film. Beetlejuice tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuiceto scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium, and the biggest sandworm Broadway has ever seen.

Tim Burton is being represented on Broadway in what is perhaps the most Burton-esque show to grace the stage, Beetlejuice. But did you know that adaptations of Burton's films have been on Broadway before, and that he created the film version of a classic Broadway musical?

The world premiere of Brian Jucha's TOAST at the Catastrophic Theatre is a theatrical experience unlike any other. This deeply layered, highly surrealist adventure draws audiences through realms of reality, and varied states of consciousness, with a mashup of vignettes featuring current events, scenes from the movie Alien, stories about love, and a parade of flamingos. The new Broadway musical BEETLEJUICE has announced a $43 Digital Lottery beginning Monday, April 15, 2019.

The Holy Cross Student Theatre (HCST) will present Big Fish: The Musical as its spring production for the 2018-2019 school year. Music and lyrics are by Andrew Lippa, and the book is written by John August. Performances run at Holy Cross High School (HCHS) on 587 Oronoke Road on May 3rd and 4th at 7:30p.m.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic and Music Director Donato Cabrera announced the 2019 2020 concert season today, which will include 11 performances from September 7, 2019 through May 9, 2020 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The orchestra's 21st season offers an exhilarating mix of Masterworks and Pops concerts that celebrate cherished classical works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi in addition to energetic programs including a night of movie music from Danny Elfman and Tim Burton film collaborations, a nod to Opera and Broadway in an all Kurt Weill program plus two distinct holiday concerts including a nostalgic celebration featuring beloved seasonal melodies to an all Baroque program with Handel's Messiah.

Arthur Miller's All My Sons begins preview performances tonight, April 4, 2019, and opens officially on Monday, April 22, 2019.

The Broadway transfer of Beetlejuice began previews on March 28th and is now on stage at the Winter Garden Theatre. The show welcomes back original members of the Washington DC company including Alex Brightman in the title role, Sophia Anne Caruso as Lydia, Kerry Butler as Barbara, Rob McClure as Adam, Adam Dannheisseras Charles, and Leslie Kritzer as Delia. Thousands of movie lovers have seen the acclaimed films Us, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and Captain Marvel in recent weeks. In May the Los Angeles Master Chorale gives fans the chance to hear them, performing music by composers Michael Abels, John Powell, and Pinar Toprak in a concert celebrating film scores and opera ensemble writing called Great Opera & Film Choruses at Walt Disney Concert Hall. There will be two performances; Saturday, May 4 at 2 PM and Sunday, May 5 at 7 PM with many of the Los Angeles-based film composers expected to be in attendance.
