One of the most iconic and recognizable 19th century novels, Lewis Carroll's literary masterpiece ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND has been translated into countless iterations over the nearly 150 years since its debut, yet the new Fathom Events presentation of noted director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon's incredibly imaginative and vivid ballet production may be the most satisfying yet.

Based on the 2003 Tim Burton Film, the show deals with a man's journey to sort out the truth from the fiction of his dying father's life. The stories, told through musical numbers, are larger than life and there is enough color and character to entrance any kid. The subject matter however, is a bit more sensitive a topic. Death is dealt with in a very emotional way, and just as no adult in the audience escaped without a tear, kids will also find the show as sad as it is often uplifting. A mature eight year old will be able to handle the themes, although my sensitive ten year old held my hand tight during the sad parts.

Embracing the long, rich history of dark, mysterious, and playful subject matter à la The Brothers Grimm, Roald Dahl, Lemony Snicket, Neil Gaiman, and Tim Burton, San Francisco's beloved band Rainbow Beast looks forward to the February 11 release of Tales from the Monstrosity Scrolls, a collaborative effort with the youthful Rock Band Land Rockers.

The hit West End production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Sam Mendes, announced today that it has extended its booking period by six months until 1 November 2014. The show had previously been booking until 31 May 2014. The production, which has so far been seen by almost 300,000 people since it began previews in May 2013, is extending its run due to popular demand, releasing almost 400,000 extra tickets.

A second show, tonight, October 29 at 8:15 pm, has been added of Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton, a unique concert with the Hollywood Studio Symphony and the Page LA Choir conducted by John Mauceri, at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE. The first show on Halloween, October 31 was sold out, 12 minutes after it went on sale.

A Tarantino movie will get the Secret Treatment at The Secret Theatre at a 'Secret Zone 1 Location', London, tonight 29th Oct - Saturday 30th of November 2013. Press night is slated for Wednesday 6th November. Doors 7pm for a 7:45pm start. The project is directed by Richard Crawford.
