As previously announced, the acclaimed Second Act Series, which has presented an array of lesser-known musicals in concert, will celebrate the short-lived Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical Dance A Little Closer at New York's Green Room 42 on Monday, April 16th at 7:00pm.

As previously announced, the acclaimed Second Act Series, which has presented an array of lesser-known musicals in concert, will celebrate the short-lived Charles Strouse and Alan Jay Lerner musical Dance A Little Closer at New York's Green Room 42 on Monday, April 16th at 7:00pm. The one-night-only concert reading will star Beautiful's Julia Knitel (Bye, Bye, Birdie), currently starring in A Letter to Harvey Milk as Cynthia Drama Desk Award-winner Ed Dixon (Georgie, Sunday In The Park With George, Les Miserables) in the role created by his lifelong friend and colleague George Rose. Joining them as Bebe is Cheryl Howard, returning to the role she originated in the original 1983 production, and Arbender Robinson (The Book of Mormon, Shuffle Along, In Transit) as Charles, the role originated by Brent Barrett.

The National Tour of HAMILTON is now at ASU Gammage in Tempe through February 25th. What more can be said about a production that, since its opening three years ago, has already received the ultimate in honors and plaudits and for which the best adjectives have already been used? Yes, awesome, glorious, uplifting! All of that and more! Outstanding performances all around. In its unique form as a history lesson, HAMILTON is a hymn to the revolutionary spirit and the insatiable desire to fulfill possibility.

Speaking of 'birds of a feather,' this musical is not so much about birds, as it is about drag queens. Think Robin Williams and Nathan Lane in 'The Birdcage,' add a fabulous Broadway score by Jerry Herman (of 'Hello, Dolly!' fame), a hilarious book by Harvey Fierstein ('Kinky Boots') and a few thousand feathers and sequins, and you have 'La Cage aux Folles,' the Tony-winning musical that too rarely gets a chance on stage these days!

The Las Vegas Philharmonic presents its final concert of the 2016 – 2017 concert season, Cabrera Conducts Bruckner on Saturday, May 27th at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center.  Music Director Donato Cabrera will host a pre-concert conversation at 6:30 p.m. for patrons to learn more about the history and meaning behind the music in the evening's program. 

This April 22nd, Pittius - along with a carefully chosen faculty of professional performing arts educators - will launch Red Bank Performance Prep ('The Prep') as an educational division of long-time downtown Red Bank events and entertainment company, Flipping Fun.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic presents Cabrera Conducts The Music of John Williams today, March 4th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center featuring our choir-in-residence, The Las Vegas Master Singers.  Patrons are encouraged to come early and dress in their favorite John Williams soundtrack movie character for special galactic surprises in Reynolds Hall lobby.  Music Director Donato Cabrera will host a pre-concert conversation at 6:30 p.m. today evening and at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon for patrons to learn more about John Williams and the music behind these iconic films. 

As previously announced, Tony Award-winners Barry Bostwick and Joanna Gleason will revisit Nick and Nora in a reunion concert presented by Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, on May 2nd, 2017. Feinstein's has just announced that the show's original stars will be joined by special guest Christine Pedi (Newsical, Spamilton) as Lily Connors.

 The Las Vegas Philharmonic presents a Symphonic Spectacular on Saturday, October 8th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center.  Music Director Donato Cabrera will host a pre-concert conversation about the music being performed on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. before the scheduled performances. 

 The Las Vegas Philharmonic is selling its popular Flex Passport for a second season.  The membership-based program offers customization and flexibility for patrons to decide which concert(s) they want to attend and with who at a later date.  The Flex Passport offers 6 seats to any of the Philharmonic's Reynolds Hall performances in the upcoming 2016?2017 season.  The seats can be redeemed all at once or broken into any configuration, using up to a maximum of 6 seats. 

 The Las Vegas Philharmonic's opening night soars on Saturday, September 10th at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center with three magnificent works led by Music Director Donato Cabrera and featuring an alumnus of the prestigious San Francisco Opera Adler Fellowship, Maria Valdes.  Following the performance, the Las Vegas Philharmonic will host a celebratory cocktail reception on stage.

La Strada Ensemble Theater presents a staged reading of OBLIVION -- a full length play by William Mastrosimone -- Today, April 16th, 2:00pm, at the Jersey Shore Arts Center's 3rd Floor Theater.
