Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. The season, which will be Rauch's last at the artistic helm, celebrates Shakespeare, classics and new plays, including two American Revolutions commissions and a pilot Community Visit Project that will take a bilingual Play on! translation into community venues throughout the region.
The Arvada Center has announced its 2018-2019 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere play, two regional premieres, and a Broadway smash-hit. The season also marks the third year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces Drew Gehling (Waitress, Jersey Boys) will play both President Bill Mitchell and the title role in DAVE, the world-premiere musical debuting this summer, based on the blockbuster Academy Award-nominated comedy. The production, by three-time Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, Hairspray, The Producers), Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin (Mean Girls, Legally Blonde) and Pulitzer Prize and two-time Tony Award winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then), is directed by Tina Landau (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical) and will run July 13-August 19, 2018 in the Kreeger Theater.

This tour of Hairspray has taken to date over £10million at the box office with 4 months of performances still to come. Playing to packed houses, it has been a commercial and critical smash hit. A tour for 2020/21 is currently being booked.

I emailed the Broadway League--the association of theatre owners and producers who issues press releases on such things--to ask 'when' it would happen. I don't know why I automatically assumed it would.
