Following a 2009 Drama Desk nomination for Jan Maxwell in last season's Scenes From An Execution by Howard Barker, PTP/NYC, formerly known as The Potomac Theatre Project, in association with Middlebury College, proudly presents its 23rd repertory season, its 3rd consecutive in NY. This season's menu includes the U.S. Premiere of The Europeans, written by Howard Barker and directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli (Barker's 'American ally'), and Therese Raquin, written by Neal Bell and directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Jim Petosa.

'Revenge is a dish best served cold,' but at this dinner party it is served frozen. Dinner, an American Premiere written by Moira Buffini, is a wicked satirical comedy, where caustic comments fly like poisonous darts across the dinner table.

West Virginia Public Theatre?s Founder and Executive Producer Ron Iannone has announced the line-up for the 2009 summer season, which runs June 23 through August 9, 2009. Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll, a sweeping drama about love, music and revolution from the Velvet Underground to the Velvet Revolution at Goodman Theatre, has inspired a number of special collaborations with the Chicago community.

EMERGING ARTISTS THEATRE, Paul Adams, Artistic Director, and Derek Jamison, Associate Artistic Director, present the Illuminating Artists- New Works Series, for three weeks at TADA Theatre. Performances begin Monday, April 27, 2009, and continue through Sunday, May 17, 2009.

It's said that there are no worse fates that can befall a man as when his dreams don't come true and when they do. Reno, an apartment 'super' superintendent with a dysfunctional past, discovers the truth of this saying in Julie Lewis' play, SMOLDER, now at The Strand Theater.

The 2nd Annual Easter Bonnet Competition and Show will take place in las Vegas on April 5th. The event will occur at 2pm at the Rio Hotel's Chippendales Theater, and act as a fundraiser for the Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach. Companies and shows are encouraged to participate by designing and entering a hat that conveys the theme or message of their brand/performance/company image.

The second annual Las Vegas Easter Bonnet Competition, a fundraiser for the Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach Center, will be held 2 PM April 5 at the Rio Hotel's Chippendales Theatre. The event is produced by Amelia Keene, who appeared in the original Broadway companies of Starlight Express and Anna Karenina, as well as New York's first annual Easter Bonnet Competition.

Terry Johnson returns to the Menier Chocolate Factory to direct Ben Travers? farce Rookery Nook with a cast including Edward Baker-Duly, Lynda Baron, Nick Brimble, Mark Hadfield, Kellie Shirley, Neil Stuke, Clare Wilkie and Sarah Woodward. Rookery Nook previews from 16 April with press night on 29 April, and runs until 20 June. Designs are by Tim Shortall with lighting by Jason Taylor.

Broadway lovers and teddy bear collectors came together on Sunday, February 15, at the BROADWAY BEARS XII auction, which raised a grand total of $152,116! The event was hosted by Bryan Batt with Lorna Kelly reprising her role as auctioneer. Forty specially made BROADWAY BEARS ? each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing the theater?s most legendary characters - were auctioned to the highest bidder in support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Last year?s BROADWAY BEARS raised $130,878 and the grand total for all 12 Broadway Bears auctions is $1,644,077.18 with over 500 bears auctioned.

Producers David Stone, James L. Nederlander, Barbara Whitman, Patrick Catullo, and Second Stage Theatre have announced that the original musical, Next to Normal, will come to Broadway this spring, direct from its critically-acclaimed engagement at Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage, beginning preview performances at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) on Friday, March 27th and officially opening on Wednesday, April 15.

Working Man's Clothes presents the New York premiere of Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder's play 'Fresh Kills', a gritty and surprising thriller about a married man whose dalliance with a teenage boy brings more trouble than expected.

Last chance to see a quartet of short plays by the prolific Simon.London Suite is a different ball game. It started Off-Broadway at the Union Square Theatre with the likes of Carole Shelley, Kate Burton and Jeffrey Jones. It later became a Hallmark and NBC Entertainment television movie made in LonDon Starring such luminaries at Patricia Clarkson, Kelsey Gtammer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Madeline Kahn among others who arrive at the posh Connaught Hotel.
