LV Easter Bonnet Competition Fundraiser Held 4/5 At Rio Hotel

The second annual Las Vegas Easter Bonnet Competition, a fundraiser for the Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach Center, will be held 2 PM April 5 at the Rio Hotel's Chippendales Theatre.

The event is produced by Amelia Keene, who appeared in the original Broadway companies of Starlight Express and Anna Karenina, as well as New York's first annual Easter Bonnet Competition.

The Las Vegas productions of Phantom and Jersey Boys are expected to participate, as will various local businesses and entertainers from the Vegas strip, who will create hats for the event. Tim Tucker serves as director with Keith Thompson arranging the theme for the event.

A complete list of participating shows and performers will be announced shortly.

The first annual Las Vegas Easter Bonnet Competition raised nearly $10,000 for the Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach Center, which serves the Southern Nevada community by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to those affected by HIV and AIDS.
