Kathleen Turner to Star in RED HOT PATRIOT: THE KICK-ASS WIT OF MOLLY IVINS, 3/19-4/18

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces that two-time Tony Award-nominee and film actress Kathleen Turner will star in the world premiere of Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel.  Directed by award-winning director David Esbjornson, this one-woman play based on the writings of the late political journalist Molly Ivins will take the slot previously slated for Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck. 'Red Hot Patriot' runs March 19 - April 18, 2010.

California Musical Theatre Presents SISTER'S CHRISTMAS CATECHISM, 11/24

California Musical Theatre will present the one-woman interactive comedy 'SISTER'S CHRISTMAS CATECHISM: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold' beginning November 24. The play will follow the currently running 'Late Nite Catechism: 'Til Death Do Us Part' which closes November 22. Both productions star Nonie Newton-Breen as 'Sister,' the tough-talking nun who helps audience members relive their childhoods in Catholic school - even if they've never attended.

Elizabeth Marvel Leads MTC's THAT FACE; Premieres 4/29

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be directed by Sarah Benson (Blasted, Artistic Director of Soho Rep) and will feature three-time Obie winner Elizabeth Marvel (Top Girls, 50 Words). THAT FACE will begin previews on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I for a Tuesday, May 18, 2010 opening night.

THE FANTASTICKS to Kick Off Long Wharf's 2009-10 Season Oct 7 - Nov 1

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Ray Cullom, will present the beloved musical The Fantasticks, directed by Amanda Dehnert, from October 7 through November 1, 2009, on the Mainstage.

Ivo van Hove to Direct Elizabeth Marvel in THE LITTLE FOXES at NYTW in 2010

Director Ivo van Hove is set to oversee a production of Lillian Hellman's THE LITTLE FOXES in 2010. The production is expected to star Broadway's Elizabeth Marvel, most recently off the revival of Top Girls. THE LITTLE FOXES will be produced in full scale by the New York Theatre Workshop following a reading they presented earlier this year.
