Ken Ludwig is an internationally acclaimed playwright whose many hits on Broadway, in London's West End and throughout the world have made his name synonymous with modern comedy. He has had six shows on Broadway and six in the West End, and he has won the Laurence Olivier Award, England's highest theatre honor, as well as three Tony Award nominations and two Helen Hayes Awards. His work has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has been performed in thirty countries in over twenty languages. Ken Ludwig is also the author of the popular Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo.

Before a packed audience at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Managing Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, unveiled the line-up for its 2012-2013 season.

On Friday, March 2, TheatreWorks New Milford opens its 2012 season with the comedy THE IRISH CURSE by Martin Casella. The show opens at 8:00 p.m. for a four-week run.

Following nearly two months of on-campus development, Retrop Productions and Emerson College's RareWorks Theatre Company, in association with Kurt Deutsch, President and Founder of Sh-K Boom Records, will present Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback's Darling, A New Musical. The developmental production will premiere in Boston, MA, at Emerson College's Semel Theater on March 1 & 2, 2012.

Theatre at the Center's Theatre for Young Audiences, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, announces their upcoming production of the energetic and hilarious children's favorite, Junie B. Jones. This exciting, fun and educational production will open April 16 and run through April 21. Junie B. Jones is a new musical based on Barbara Punk's series of books, illustrated by Denise Brunkus and published by Random House.

I CAN'T WAIT: THE SONGS OF PATRICK DWYER, a new revue of songs by the theatre/cabaret songwriter, will be presented at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street at 7th Avenue, on Saturday February 25 at 4:30pm and Monday February 27 at 7pm. The hour-long show will feature the vocal talents of Teal Wicks, Robb Sapp and Tally Sessions.

Kathy Evans, Founder and Executive Director of the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced that applications for summer 2012 are now being accepted. Musical theatre writers may apply as a team with one musical. The Rhinebeck Writers Retreat provides one-week residencies for writers to work on their musical in a home just outside of Rhinebeck, New York. There will be seven retreats offered in July and August. Applications are due February 15th and there is a submission fee of $25. Theatreworks USA hosted its 50th Anniversary Celebration gala last night, February 12, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Broadway legend and Tony Award winner Elaine Stritch appeared as the Special Guest Performer for the gala, which also featured appearances from Special Guest Presenters Kathleen Chalfant, Nathan Lane and Sara Ramirez. THE ASTORIA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (APAC) is proud to present an APAC Workshop of Matt Schatz's Love Trapezoid, directed by APAC Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik. Love Trapezoid will play four performances only at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY 11102. Entrance on 30th Road.) Performances are February 10-11 and February 17-18.

Theatre Aspen's benefit gala will be held on March 10th at the Hotel Jerome. The evening will feature dinner, DJ, silent and live auctions, games and dancing. CK Swett, a rising star in the world of auctioneering, will preside over the live auction. Swett, recently profiled in the New York Times, is also set to headline the TheatreWorks USA 50th Anniversary gala on February 12th.

Cherry Lane Theatre's award-winning MENTOR PROJECT will begin its 13th season on February 21 with a production of Elizabeth Rose's RELATIVE PITCH, the first of four new works in 2012 MENTOR PROJECT running February 21 to April 14 at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street in Manhattan).
