Tigers Be Still, rising star Kim Rosenstock's savagely funny dark comedy about a young woman who stops being a total disaster and gets her life back on track, is ready to take a bite out of Chicago's theater scene.

What happens once the Ugly Duckling comes out of her shell? She takes a show business journey to become a singing swan superstar! Kansas City audiences can catch the one-night-only performance of Lucky Duck by the Coterie Theatre at 7 p.m. March 8 at the Folly Theater, 1020 Central. The musical comedy with its Kansas City cast will then take flight for its debut at the New Victory Theater in New York March 16-25.

On Friday, March 2, TheatreWorks New Milford opens its 2012 season with the comedy THE IRISH CURSE by Martin Casella. The show opens at 8:00 p.m. for a four-week run.

Following nearly two months of on-campus development, Retrop Productions and Emerson College's RareWorks Theatre Company, in association with Kurt Deutsch, President and Founder of Sh-K Boom Records, will present Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback's Darling, A New Musical. The developmental production will premiere in Boston, MA, at Emerson College's Semel Theater on March 2, 2012.

Playhouse on the Square has chosen the shows that will run at The Circuit Playhouse for 2012-2013. The season for the venue at 51 S. Cooper will open with Good People, a play about a single-mother struggling to make ends meet in Boston's Southie neighborhood. Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Rabbit Hole, Good People revolves around the dynamic between the lead character and the former high school sweetheart who she thinks can turn her life around when they reconnect.

Two-time Golden Globe winner, Academy Award & Tony Award nominee Kathleen Turner will make her Fort Lauderdale stage debut in the National Tour of Matthew Lombardo's play HIGH, February 29-March 4, 2012 at The Parker Playhouse. Directed by Rob Ruggiero, HIGH also features Evan Jonigkeit as 'Cody Randall' and Timothy Altmeyer as 'Father Michael Delpapp'.

The New York Children's Theater Festival has announced the accepted participants for its inaugural season, chosen by a judging panel of over 30 industry professionals including Kevin ("Elmo") Clash, Cheryl Henson (President, The Henson Foundation), John Tartaglia (Emmy, Tony, and Drama Desk Award nominated actor, producer, puppeteer), Thomas Schumacher (President, Disney Theatrical Productions), and Michael Jung, (Vice President, Theatrical Development, Walt Disney Imagineering).

Ken Ludwig is an internationally acclaimed playwright whose many hits on Broadway, in London's West End and throughout the world have made his name synonymous with modern comedy. He has had six shows on Broadway and six in the West End, and he has won the Laurence Olivier Award, England's highest theatre honor, as well as three Tony Award nominations and two Helen Hayes Awards. His work has been commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has been performed in thirty countries in over twenty languages. Ken Ludwig is also the author of the popular Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo.

TheatreWorks of Silicon Valley presents the West Coast Premiere of the off-beat comedy NOW CIRCA THEN by Carly Mensch, story editor for TV's popular series Weeds. Told with spunk and candor, the play follows the romance between two historical re-enactors in New York City, and what happens when past and present intertwine. I CAN'T WAIT: THE SONGS OF PATRICK DWYER, a new revue of songs by the theatre/cabaret songwriter, will be presented at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, 61 Christopher Street at 7th Avenue, on Saturday February 25 at 4:30pm and Monday February 27 at 7pm. The hour-long show will feature the vocal talents of Teal Wicks, Robb Sapp and Tally Sessions.

The Inspire Change Talkback Series celebrating Black History Month, minorities, and their impact on the entertainment industry, will begin on Thursday, February 9th. Immediately following 7pm performances of MEMPHIS on Thursdays in February, patrons will be invited to participate in a talkback about the role of minorities in various aspects of the performing arts including dance, music and theater. Each talkback will feature a guest moderator along with cast members from the show.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the return of GATZ, the critically lauded theatrical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby.
