From January 6 through February 4, 2012, SpeakEasy Stage will present the New England Premiere of the 2010 Tony Award-winning play RED by John Logan.

The Club by Eve Merriam plays Playhouse On The Square, featuring songs from the period of 1894-1905 arranged by Alexandra Ivanoff.

TheatreWorks of Silicon Valley is set to present the West Coast Premiere of THE PITMEN PAINTERS, from the writer of the hit film and musical Billy Elliot and the co-writer of the period drama screenplay War Horse.

Kathy Evans, Founder and Executive Director of the Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced that applications for summer 2012 are now being accepted. Musical theatre writers may apply as a team with one musical. The Rhinebeck Writers Retreat provides one-week residencies for writers to work on their musical in a home just outside of Rhinebeck, New York. There will be seven retreats offered in July and August. Applications are due February 15th and there is a submission fee of $25. Tokio Confidential (www.TokioConfidential.com), a new musical with words and music by Eric Schorr, will play Atlantic Theater Stage 2 (330 W. 16th Street) beginning February 5th at 7:00pm for a run through February 19th, it was announced today.
