SUMMER SHORTS, America's Short Play Festival, Returns To The Arsht Center! Begins May 31

City Theatre (@citytheatremia) and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) are proud to present SUMMER SHORTS, America's Short Play Festival. Playing May 31-July 1, 2018 in the intimate Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House) and led by City Theatre Artistic Director Margaret M. Ledford, SUMMER SHORTS is an annual theatrical celebration that showcases the diversity of Miami through a variety of new short plays and musicals.

Desert Ensemble Theatre Announces New Season, New Leadership

Desert Ensemble Theatre Company (DETC) has announced its 2018-19 season, including the musical revue Double Time as its Eighth Season Opening Gala; For a Reason, a new drama by Palm Springs' acclaimed playwright Tony Padilla; Proof, the winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize in Drama; and Graceland/Asleep on the Wind, a pair of intimate, one-act dramedies.

The Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre Presents 2 ACROSS

The Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre (CVRep) has announced it will present hit TV Writer/Producer Jerry Mayer's delightful two-person play, 2 ACROSS. In keeping with this season's CVRep theme of ROMANCE, REAL OR IMAGINED, 2 ACROSS is Jerry Mayer's smash hit comedy of crosswords and romance that asks the burning question, 'Can a crossword puzzle change your life?' Jerry Mayer is a playwright with several decades' worth of television comedy credits. An executive producer for 'The Facts of Life,' he wrote for 'Bewitched,' 'The Bob Newhart Show,' 'M*A*S*H*', 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show', and 'All InThe Family.'

Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents EQUUS by Peter Shaffer

Why did a teenage boy who literally worships horses commit the unspeakable act of blinding six of them? That is the mystery psychiatrist Martin Dysart must unravel in order to help his disturbed young patient in Peter Shaffer's Tony Award-winning Equus. The psychological thriller opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on May 18 and continues through June 3, with specially priced previews on May 16 and 17.

Amas Musical Theatre Lab To Present Staged Readings Of PLAY IT BY HEART with Crystal Bowersox, Carmen Cusack, Linda Hart

Amas Musical Theatre(Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present further staged readings of Play It by Heart, a new musical, with music by David Spangler, Jerry Taylorand Marty Dodson, lyrics byDavid Spangler, Jerry Taylor,R.T. Robinson, and Marty Dodson, and book byWilly Holtzman. Directed by Daniel Goldsteinwith music direction by Andrew Wilder, the readings (by invitation only) will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 1pm and 5pm at Opry City Stage (48th/49th& Broadway).

WaterTower Theatre announced today details of its 2018 Spring Gala, to be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7 pm. The 2018 Spring Gala is chaired by Tara Lewis, aided by Underwriting Chair and WaterTower Theater Board member Craig Sutton.
