LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION to Play Fort Worth's McDavid Studio, 6/26-30

James Braly's LIFE IN MARITAL INSTITUTION (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour), written by and starring James Braly, directed by Hal Brooks (Colin Quinn's Long Story Short, Nilaja Sun's No Child...), and presented and produced by Meredith Vieira Productions, will travel to Bass Performance Hall's McDavid Studio for 6 performances, June 26-30, 2013.

THE DRAWER BOY Closes Off-Broadway Today

The SoHo Playhouse and Darren Lee Cole, Artistic Director of the SoHo Playhouse, have announced that The Drawer Boy will close today, May 19. The Drawer Boy, written by Michael Healey, directed by Alexander Dinelaris and starring Alex Fast, Brad Fryman, and William Laney, began performances at the SoHo Playhouse on April 19.

The SoHo Playhouse and Darren Lee Cole, Artistic Director of the SoHo Playhouse, have announced that The Drawer Boy will close on Sunday, May 19. The Drawer Boy, written by Michael Healey, directed by Alexander Dinelaris and starring Alex Fast, Brad Fryman, and William Laney, began performances at the SoHo Playhouse on April 19.

Soho Playhouse Hosts THE MAKING AND FATE OF OFF-BROADWAY Talkback Following THE DRAWER BOY Tomorrow

On Tuesday, May 14 the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) will host a talkback discussing 'The Making and Fate of Off-Broadway' following the 8:00 p.m. performance of The Drawer Boy, now playing the SoHo Playhouse's Mainstage. The talkback will be hosted by SoHo Playhouse Artistic Director, Darren Lee Cole, and will feature guest speaker, playwright and director, Alexander Dinelaris. Patrick Boll and Timothy Crowe to Star in BILL W. AND DR. BOB; Full Cast Announced!

Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey have announced casting for the new NYC production of their play Bill W. and Dr. Bob, about the founding of AA, which begins July 8 at the Soho Playhouse. Seth Gordon (Associate Artistic Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Producer/Director Primary Stages, NYC; director of the acclaimed production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob at the Cleveland Play House in 2010) will direct an ensemble of actors who have garnered acclaim on and off Broadway.

Stage Left Studio, 214 W. 30th Street, is celebrating its third Drama Desk nominated show, Tom Gualtieri and Heather Hill's That Play: A Solo Macbeth, with added performances May 2, 9, 11, 14, 15, 16 & 25 at 7:30pm. The SoHo Playhouse and Darren Lee Cole, Artistic Director of the SoHo Playhouse, are pleased to announce the addition of The Drawer Boy to the theater's Off-Broadway lineup. The Drawer Boy, written by Michael Healey, and directed by Alexander Dinelaris begins performances at the SoHo Playhouse on April 19 until June 16 and will star Alex Fast, Brad Fryman, and William Laney.

SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT Begins Performances on Monday at Soho Playhouse

Southern Discomfort, the newest addition to the SoHo Playhouse's (15 Vandam Street, NYC) eclectic Off-Broadway lineup, will begin performances on Monday, March 25. Written in the Southern Gothic tradition of Flannery O'Connor and Carson McCullers, Elisabeth Gray's Southern Discomfort is a comedic exploration of loneliness and the drastic measures people take to overcome it. Southern Discomfort, presented by New Umbrella, has an opening night set for April 1, and will play on Monday nights until May 27.

BWW Review: Inspiring CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY (LIVE FROM LONDON) is Moving and Provocative

Before Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Robert Lopez's BOOK OF MORMON made Missionaries cool, Steven Fales began sharing his personal story in the riveting and compelling one-man show CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY. The show first premiered at the Sunstone Symposium in Salt Lake City in 2001. Since then, he has gone on to perform the show off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse with direction by Jack Hofsiss in 2006, all over the United States, the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and London's West End in 2012.
