Artistic Director of Upswing circus company Vicki Dela Amedume has been appointed an MBE in the Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours List 2022. She has been recognised for services to circus.

The Orange Tree Theatre today announces the full cast for Pierre Marivaux's The False Servant, translated by Martin Crimp, whose prolific international career began at the Orange Tree Theatre, including the recent hit revival of Dealing with Clair. Three old school friends, Mark, Pete and Len, knock about the streets, pubs and cafes of East London arguing the toss about art, life and love. The fourth member of their tight-knit group is Virginia, a young teacher. As autumn draws in, each of the friends finds their perception of one another and themselves irrevocably changed.

Esteemed actress and producer Alice Krige is a respected force in the film and theatre world amassing a career that covers over 40 years in entertainment. From her first theatrical role in the ‘Best Picture’ Academy Award-winning film CHARIOTS OF FIRE, to starring opposite film legends Fred Astaire and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. in GHOST STORY, to her iconic role as the “Borg Queen” in STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT which also won her the Saturn Award, Krige has established herself with an admired resume of work. Next up, Krige is set to star as the lead in the IFC Midnight psychological thriller SHE WILL, slated for a July 15th theatrical and digital release.

Today (Thursday 12 May 2022) the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) releases a new episode of its in-house podcast, Interval Drinks, featuring RSC Associate Artist and star of stage and screen David Tennant in conversation with Mark Quartley, who currently plays Henry VI in the RSC productions of Henry VI: Rebellion and Wars of the Roses.

TFANA has extended the run of Alice Childress’s Wedding Band, directed by Awoye Timpo, to May 22. (The production, which began previews April 28—postponed from an original date of April 23 due to two COVID-19 cases—was formerly set to close May 15).
