This December Company of Fools (COF) invites you to set sail with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies' Shipwrecked! As part of the Center's multi-disciplinary project Wish You Were Here!, COF will present 15 public performances of this family-friendly adventure tale (recommended for children ages 7 and up). Performances run from December 11 through December 29.

Dr. Barbara Ann Teers's National Black Theatre (NBT) will open its 45th Season with the New York Premiere of The Last Saint On Sugar Hill, written by Keith Josef Adkins and directed by Seret Scottannounced NBT's Director of Theatre Arts Program, Jonathan McCrory. Preview performances begin tonight, October 29th at NBT, 2031 Fifth Avenue starting at 7:30pm. The opening night is set for Friday, November 1st at 7pm. The production will run through Sunday, November 24th.
WAM Theatre Announces ASL EMILIE Performance & Talkbacks

WAM Theatre will provide an ASL Interpreted Performance for the deaf and hearing impaired on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at its performance of "Emilie: La Marquise Du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight". This is the first time WAM Theatre will present an ASL Interpreted Performance, making them one of the first cultural organizations in the Berkshires to do so. WAM also announces two "Talkbacks", post-show discussions with members of the artistic staff and cast, following the 2 p.m. performances on Sunday, Nov. 10 and 17.

Isaiah Johnson (Broadway: Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino; Peter and the Starcatcher; Off-Bway: Far from Heaven with Kelli O'Hara) steps into the title role of OTHELLO, produced by the New York Shakespeare Exchange and directed by Cristina Lundy. OTHELLO began performances on today, October 15 for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 2. Performances are at Hudson Guild Theater (441 West 26th Street, between 9th & 10th Avenues; C to 23rd Street). The performance schedule istoday at 7 PM; Wednesday - Saturday at 8 PM. The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition has announced the winners of the 2013 Collaboration Awards. The Collaboration Awards, which recognize women who successfully collaborate across disciplines to create new and influential work, will be presented at the Awards Gala tonight, October 24th at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Auditorium in New York City. Madeleine Smithberg, Emmy and Peabody Award winning co-creator and original executive producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will keynote the evening's Gala.

New Haven, Conn.— Yale's School of Architecture and School of Drama are teaming up this fall to present “Stage Designs by Ming Cho Lee,” a retrospective of the award-winning designer and Yale professor's work in theater, opera, and dance. The exhibit, free and open to the public, will be on view Nov. 21–Feb. 1 in the Yale School of Architecture Gallery, 180 York St., in New Haven.

ANDREA MARCOVCCI is turning sixty-five this November! The tour kicks into high gear when it arrives on the east coast where Andrea debuts at both Joe's Pub (at the Public Theatre) in New York City and The Landmark Theatre in Pt. Washington, NY (Andrea's only scheduled Long Island appearance.) Plus - a return, after eight years, to the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck, NY and an appearance at the new RRazz Room in New Hope, PA (More details below). What better way to celebrate her birthday, than to honor the singers and songwriters of the 1940's and '50's that inspired the current Queen of Cabaret. The new show, "Moonlight Cocktail," began in Los Angeles at Tom Rolla's Gardenia in preparation for Andrea's debut at Michael Feinstein's latest club - Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco, and went on to an acclaimed engagement at Davenport's in Chicago.

Cherry Lane Theatre Artistic Director Angelina Fiordellisi and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that previews of the world premiere of Charles Fuller's One Night… directed by Clinton Turner Davis, have been postponed, and will now begin Wednesday, November 6, at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. Opening night is set for Wednesday, November 20, at 7pm; the production is now scheduled to run through December 15.
