Burning Coal Theatre Company presents The Wiz by William F. Brown and Charlie Smalls, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand at The Murphey School Auditorium (224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604) Thursdays through Saturdays December 3rd-5th, 10th-12th, and 17th-19st at 7:30 pm and Saturdays and Sundays December 5th-6th, 12th- 13th, and 19th- 20th at 2:00 pm. HOMELESS AND HOW WE GOT THAT WAY -- a new play by Dan McCormick -- will be given its world-premiere this fall when Roust Theatre Company produces the play at the Access Theatre (380 Broadway, one block below Canal St.), with previews starting October 22 prior to a press opening October 25.  James Phillip Gates directs.

Bristol Riverside Theatre opens its 2015-2016 season with the classic romantic comedy Bus Stop by Pulitzer Prize-winner William Inge, running tonight, September 29-October 18.

Happy Birthday Marc Kudisch! Kudisch was nominated for the Tony Award first for the role of Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Drama Desk and Outer Critics nominations as well), and then for Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Outer Critics nomination as well). His other Broadway roles include The Proprietor in Assassins (Drama Desk nomination), Jeff Moss in Bells Are Ringing, Jackie in The Public Theatre's production of The Wild Party, Chauvelin in the 3rd incarnation of The Scarlet Pimpernel, George Kittredge in High Society, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, and Reuben in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
