Courtney Roze Brings James Brown Tribute to Joe's Pub

COURTNEE ROZE: A JAMES BROWN TRIBUTE will play Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre, Saturday October 3.

Courtnee Roze, who has toured and performed with R&B vocalist J.Cole, leads a percussion-driven ensemble featuring congas, djembe, drums, bass, keyboard, strings, woodwinds, brass and taps. The band features and rotates a collective of musicians, and has been described as one of the most innovative, influential, and intriguing acts of their generation. Roze and her band draw on of funk, fusion, afrobeat, soul, house, world music, live dance creations and heavy percussion to create their unique sound.
