Burning Coal Theatre Company of Raleigh, NC announces its 2015/2016 season of plays. In its 19th season, the theatre, housed in the historic Murphy School auditorium at 224 Polk Street, will host the Brooklyn based Only Child Aerial Theatre's Production of Asylum created by Nicki Miller and Kendall Rileigh and directed by Nicki Miller (October 15 - November 1, 2015), The Wiz by William F Brown, Charles Smalls and Luther Vandross, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand (December 3 - December 20, 2015), The US premier of Blue Sky by Clare Bayley, directed by Gus Heagerty and co-produced by CAM/Raleigh (January 28 - February 14, 2016 at CAM/Raleigh), and the American premier of Spoonface Steinberg by Lee Hall, the writer of Billy Elliot, directed by Jerome Davis (April 7 - April 24, 2016).

This August, renowned storyteller Arthur Strimling directs the New York premiere of a solo performance about an intercultural love affair. Emerging queer storyteller Matthew Dicken and his one-man show 'butyou'reaman or: The Seven Men I Came Out to in India' make their area premiere as part of the 19th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. The debut performance on August 16 sold out more than a week before the start of the festival.
Chester Theatre Company to Conclude 26th Season with New England Premiere of BLINK

Chester Theatre Company will bring its 26th season to a close with the New England Premiere of BLINK by British playwright Phil Porter. Not only will this production be a regional premiere, but it features the play's first American cast - the Off Broadway production featured the original British cast. Performances will run from August 13th to 23rd.

The Drama of an Invisible Black Man of a Certain Age in the Last Days of Political Correctness' is a play for one man written by noted African-American playwright Henry Miller and performed by noted opera singer Arthur Woodley. Its world premiere will be presented September 12 to 20 by Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival.
