Celebrities of all kinds have been flocking to see HAMILTON ever since its run Off-Broadway at the Public Theatre, and this week saw stars of the screen in attendance. This weekend, actor and comedian Aziz Ansari, Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington, actor Zachary Quinto, and NBC journalist Ann Curry all caught the show. Burning Coal Theatre Company of Raleigh, NC announces its 2015/2016 season of plays. In its 19th season, the theatre, housed in the historic Murphy School auditorium at 224 Polk Street, will host the Brooklyn based Only Child Aerial Theatre's Production of Asylum created by Nicki Miller and Kendall Rileigh and directed by Nicki Miller (October 15 - November 1, 2015), The Wiz by William F Brown, Charles Smalls and Luther Vandross, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand (December 3 - December 20, 2015), The US premier of Blue Sky by Clare Bayley, directed by Gus Heagerty and co-produced by CAM/Raleigh (January 28 - February 14, 2016 at CAM/Raleigh), and the American premier of Spoonface Steinberg by Lee Hall, the writer of Billy Elliot, directed by Jerome Davis (April 7 - April 24, 2016).

This August, renowned storyteller Arthur Strimling directs the New York premiere of a solo performance about an intercultural love affair. Emerging queer storyteller Matthew Dicken and his one-man show 'butyou'reaman or: The Seven Men I Came Out to in India' make their area premiere as part of the 19th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. The debut performance on August 16 sold out more than a week before the start of the festival.

Broadwayworld.com interviewed playwright Rick Viede of 'Nobody's Girl' at New Jersey Repertory Company. The show will be on the Long Branch Stage from August 20th to September 20th.

The New York Philharmonic will present the third season of THE ART OF THE SCORE: Film Week at the Philharmonic September 18-21, 2015, featuring two complete Academy Award-winning films screened with live performances of their acclaimed scores: On the Waterfront and The Godfather.

Chester Theatre Company will bring its 26th season to a close with the New England Premiere of BLINK by British playwright Phil Porter. Not only will this production be a regional premiere, but it features the play's first American cast - the Off Broadway production featured the original British cast. Performances will run from August 13th to 23rd.

'SHOUT! The Drama of an Invisible Black Man of a Certain Age in the Last Days of Political Correctness' is a play for one man written by noted African-American playwright Henry Miller and performed by noted opera singer Arthur Woodley. Its world premiere will be presented September 12 to 20 by Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival.

The Riant Theatre's launch party for the 28th Season of the Strawberry One-Act Festival featured a special Pioneer of the Arts Award presentation to South African born, Obie Award winning director Liesl Tommy (Appropriate), who was recently tapped to direct Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o in her first New York play Eclipsed by playwright-actress Danai Guira (The Walking Dead.) Get the inside scoop!  Due to popular demand, The York Theatre Company, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Readings Series, will present the return one-night performance of Call My Publicist! - The Starry Education of a Broadway Press Agent, written and performed by Joshua Ellis and directed by Gretchen Cryer, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).  The reading is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.

Chester Theatre Company will explore mother-daughter relationships in the 3rd play of its 26th Season, MEMORY HOUSE, by Kathleen Tolan. CTC veteran Debra Jo Rupp returns to CTC in this moving story about the complex issues raised by international child adoption. Performances will run from tonight, July 29-August 9.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present George Bernard Shaw's comedy Misalliance, directed by Artistic Associate/Casting Director Stephen Brown-Fried. Performances begin Wednesday, August 5th and continue through Sunday, August 30th at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison.
