Charming troubadour and raconteur Corn Mo brings his patented combination of original songs, quirky, off-kilter anecdotes, and charisma, framed by The Love Show Dancers' dance performance, burlesque, and saucy surprises! The Marsh San Francisco adds five free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign and generous corporate contributions from Fremont Bank and OSIsoft in San Leandro. This deeply moving and surprisingly funny work outlines Copeland's own struggles with depression and suicidal thought, and is presented at no cost to remove all barriers for those who may be struggling with depression themselves. Featuring humorous, poignant, and riveting insights, the solo show written by Copeland and directed by David Ford, will take place January 6 & 20,  February 3, March 3 & 17, 2019 with performances at 5:30pm, Sundays at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia Street. General admission for this performance is free, although reservations are recommended. The holidays continue! Joe's Pub presents year round favorites but with sparkles and extra glamour. And of course, the beloved Sandra Bernhard is here to lead us into the New Year!

Lila Blue is diving into 2019 head first, starting the new year off with a string of performances at the Public Theater as part of Under the Radar Festival. The first group of shows, on January 5th, come as a reunion of The Chekhov Project, a yearly gathering of actors and musicians reinterpreting a selected Chekhov play through original songs and soundscapes. At the festival, a reunited group of these musicians will perform a selection of songs from the project - one of Lila's foundational musical experiences, coming full circle a decade on.

About Face Theatre is pleased to continue its 2018-19 season with DADA WOOF PAPA HOT, a sexy comedy about gay parenting and modern families from Peter Parnell (The Cider House Rules), directed by Jeff Award-nominated AFT Artistic Associate Keira Fromm*. DADA WOOF PAPA HOT will play January 10 - February 16, 2019 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

The Drama Desk award-winning TADA! Youth Theater will present the futuristic rock musical, Odd Day Rain. In 2211, the world isn't as we know it. Following a big disaster years earlier, Aurora and her friends live outside without any adults, computers, running water… or even cellphones. Meanwhile, Claire continues life alone in the confines of her Pod run by Computer and wonders, "is there anything more out there?" What happens when Aurora goes back inside? Does Claire go outside and does she stay there? And what happens to Computer?

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of WHITE NOISE, written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks.

Central Works' 2019 season begins February 16 and runs through November 24, 2019 featuring the world premieres of 4 new plays. This 29th season begins with a bizarre comedy, followed by a Victorian mystery, a political thriller, and then in the fall it takes us on a deep dive into the sensual world of author Christina Garcia. The 2018 Season was celebrated and nominated for the comedy and SRO runs of Patricia Milton's Bamboozled and Cristina Garcia's King of Cuba which featured Marga Gomez as El Comandante. Milton's Bamboozled was a finalist for 6 TBA Awards, including Outstanding World Premiere, Entire Production, and Outstanding Direction - it won for Entire Production, Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Performance for its 2 principal actors, Stacy Ross and Chelsea Bearce. The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) has announced the Public Forum and Public Shakespeare Initiative spring line-up that will explore the intersection of art, ideas, and action and illuminate the study and performance of Shakespeare's works. Highlights of the upcoming season include a collaboration with The Metropolitan Opera; a conversation on the experiences of the Black Community with Black Lives Matter co-founder/artist Patrisse Cullors, Activist Angela Davis, and actress Yara Shahidi from "black-ish"; an in-depth discussion with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks; the continuation of monthly Civic Salon gatherings, and more.

Yale Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of Good Faith: Four Chats about Race and the New Haven Fire Department by Karen Hartman, directed by Kenny Leon, February 1-23, 2019 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, February 7.

In January 2019, Joe's Pub presents its annual slate of showcases coinciding with APAP|NYC 2019, the annual Association of Performing Artists Presenters conference drawing presenters from around the world, January 4-8. The month will also include the fourth installment of Under the Radar + Joe's Pub: In Concert, a collaborative series highlighting multidisciplinary artists at the intersection of music and theater during The Public Theater's innovative Under the Radar Festival, January 3-13.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Metamorphoses. This co-production with the Guthrie Theater is led by nationally and internationally renowned writer and director Mary Zimmerman.
