Internationally acclaimed pianist/composer Michael Stephen Brown will be joined by cellist Nicholas Canellakis in a piano-cello duo recital presented by Ames Town & Gown Chamber Music Association. Michael Tilson Thomas has withdrawn from the National Symphony Orchestra's upcoming program due to health reasons. Ken-David Masur will replace him in his debut with a new program to be announced.

The internationally lauded American pianist Michael Stephen Brown will return to the 40th season of the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival for three concerts, on July 27, 29, and 30, 2023.

At the closing ceremony of the 2022/23 season of the Hungarian State Opera, recently reappointed general director Szilveszter Ókovács presented the prestigious Chamber Singer and Étoile awards, and announced 27-year-old Martin Rajna, one of the most outstanding young conductors emerging from Hungary as principal conductor.

National Philharmonic (NatPhil) announced its 2023-2024 Season, which includes six classical programs conducted by Music Director Piotr Gajewski, one classical concert led by guest conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson, and two choral performances presented in partnership with The Washington Chorus (TWC) and conducted by TWC Artistic Director Eugene Rogers. All season concerts will be held at The Music Center at Strathmore, the Orchestra’s longstanding home in Montgomery County.
