Afterwords is the 24th new musical produced by The 5th Avenue Theatre and features music and lyrics by Zoe Sarnak and a book by Emily Kazmarek, with direction by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, choreography by Ebony Williams, and music supervision by Matt Perri.

'Broadway at The Bourbon Room' is a new, monthly musical cabaret in Hollywood showcasing Broadway’s best talent and celebrating the songs, stories, and stars of Broadway. Each month will feature a different musical theme for Broadway at the Bourbon Room.

Interim Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced that the 2022 Williamstown Theatre Festival summer season, the Tony Award-winning theater company's 68th, will be a return to indoor performances featuring three productions: one production on the Main Stage and two productions on the Nikos Stage.

Torrance Theatre Company is brining suspense and chills to 1316 Cabrillo with their latest production of WAIT UNTIL DARK, originally written by Frederick Knott, and adapted in 2013 by Jeffery Hatcher. The show opens on Friday, March 18 and runs through Sunday, April 10, 2022.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh’s home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre’s 48th season of bold, new works, beginning in September 2022. City Theatre’s second season post-pandemic shutdown will feature five plays with first-time and returning artists, plus special events.  

The thing about Lindsay Joelle’s Trayf, now playing at the Geffen Playhouse, is that it has really excellent dialogue. In every sense of the word. The opening patter between two Chassidic teenage boys fizzes like a sketch comedy routine and the rhythm carries like a current through a lot of silliness and a lot of seriousness.

POWER OF SAIL is a smart firecracker of a play getting a blistering production at the Geffen Playhouse directed by Weyni Mengesha. Presenting itself initially as a debate masquerading as dramatic fiction, SAIL quickly pivots and deepens, morphing into a tale that is part character study, part thriller.

Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC) presents the third show of its 2021-2022 season live on stage, David Cale’s LILLIAN starring Nancy Travis. Previewing on March 3rd, LILLIAN opens March 5th at The New Vic in Santa Barbara. I had the chance to ask the ever-popular, always working television star about her theatrical beginnings and present stint as LILLIAN on the boards.

Pasadena Playhouse presents the West Coast premiere of Ann – written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein from March 22 through April 24; the press opening is Saturday, March 26.

As part of their free virtual salon series, Wingspace Theatrical Design will present a conversation on Thursday, February 24 at 7:00pm ET with Aaron Copp, Kate Ducey, Stowe Nelson and Lauren Halvorsen as they talk about their work inside and outside of theater.

The hugely anticipated Broadway revival of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man has just released the first production image of Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays in character as Mayor George Shinn.

Asolo Repertory Theatre proudly presents the third and final show of its 2022 winter repertory season – Lauren Yee's THE GREAT LEAP. Vanessa Stalling returns to direct the comedic drama, which was days away from its first performance when it was cancelled because of the pandemic in March of 2020.

Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) presents ACTUALLY by Anna Ziegler at their new artistic home, 255 S. Water St., running March 11 through April 3, 2022. The play will be directed by Mary MacDonald Kerr and features Eva Nimmer and Preston Tate, Jr. ACTUALLY is sponsored By: George & Sandy Dionisopoulos and J. Michael Reavis.

Tony-winner Andrew Burnap has joined Disney's upcoming live-action Snow White film. Burnap will portray a new male lead character in the film. He joins the previously announced Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will pen new songs for the film.

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY has announced its return to live performances with three plays performing in repertory. THE PLAY YOU WANT, written by Bernardo Cubria and directed by Michael John Garcés, will begin previews on Tuesday, February 8; will open on Friday, February 11 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 27.
