Entertainment legend Dick Van Dyke will bring his twinkling eyes and contagious energy to the Geffen Playhouse for a one-night only concert to benefit the theater's education programs and the non-profit Determined to Succeed.

After weeks of playing to packed houses, Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore is continuing its Los Angeles run in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse with a new cast through August 29

Lynn Nottage's Ruined, a powerful portrayal of the triumph of the human spirit in a war-torn country, will be co-produced this season by Intiman Theatre (opening July 9, 2010) and the Geffen Playhouse (opening September 15, 2010), the only two theatres in the country to host original cast members and the design team of director Kate Whoriskey's acclaimed world-premiere production.

Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss and What I Wore, an intimate collection of stories covering some of life's most poignant moments and their corresponding wardrobe, is coming to the Geffen Playhouse's Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater.

Intiman Theatre announces the schedule of its community and outreach programs for Lynn Nottage's play Ruined, the first production of the theatre's new International Cycle. Directed by Artistic Director Kate Whoriskey, Ruined will be co-produced this year by Intiman (opening July 9, 2010) and the Geffen Playhouse (opening September 15, 2010), the only two theatres in the country to reunite members of the play's original cast and design team from its award-winning, world-premiere production. The Geffen Playhouse's second cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore will include Lucy DeVito, Conchata Ferrell and Rhea Perlman. Devito, who is best known for her stints Off-Broadway as well as spots on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has appeared in many casts of the New York production. Joining DeVito is her mother, four-time Emmy Award winner Rhea Perlman.

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that David Duchovny ('The X-Files,' 'Californication') will make his New York stage debut in the world premiere production of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon, directed by Jo Bonney, a co-production with the Geffen Playhouse (Gil Cates, Producing Director; Randall Arney, Artistic Director; Ken Novice, Managing Director)

Tony Award Winner, Emmy Award Winner and Oscar Nominee Laurence Fishburne transforms into Thurgood Marshall to tell the triumphant story of how a boy from the backstreets of Baltimore changed history. Written by George Stevens Jr and helmed by Leonard Foglia, Thurgood plays at the Geffen Playhouse from June 27 to August 8, 2010, with an opening night of July 7.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle attended THURGOOD at the Kennedy Center tonight. The first couple took in the sold-out performance from the President's box of the theatre.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. Broadway veteran James Barbour (A TALE OF TWO CITIES, ASSASSIN, URINETOWN) will end the world premiere musical Nightmare Alley opening at the Geffen Playhouse on May 23, 2010.

The Laguna Playhouse will end its run of the critically acclaimed first movement of Hershey Felder's 'Composer Sonata,' Beethoven, As I Knew Him on May 23.
