After sold out shows at Birdland Jazz Club and The Triad, songstress and performer Kate Dawson (who starred in A Christmas Carol at MSG for three seasons, and starred opposite Lucie Arnaz as Eileen in Wonderful Town in Los Angeles) is bringing her hit one-woman show THE A**HOLE IN MY HEAD to The Duplex for three Sunday nights at 7PM beginning 1/16 (with the other two shows being on 1/23 & 1/30).

Following the success of Harold Sanditen's cabaret show Thoughts ‘Round Midnight last autumn in both London and New York, he's reprising it in London and taking it to Chicago and New York, before returning to perform in the UK.

The Red Door Theatre Company will present William Finn's rarely done, conceptual musical IN TROUSERS, the first of the 'Marvin' musicals. Performances will be 3/25-28 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in Greenwich Village. Samantha Saltzman directs.

With tremendous sadness, it was announced yesterday that David Gurland, the multi-award winning singer and recording artist, passed away on January 1, 2011 at 4:52 PM as the result of a massive brain hemorrhage. David passed at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan surrounded by friends and family.

Nightlife diva and future Razzie Award Winner Marti Gould Cummings will perform the 1st evening in his monthly concert series at The Duplex on Wednesday January 5th an 9:30pm

David passed at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan surrounded by friends and family. David is survived by his partner, actor Rob Maitner, his parents Evelyn and Gerry Gurland, his brother James Gurland and James' wife Leslie, his nephew Ariel and by countless friends and a lifetime of music that will be enjoyed forever.

David Gurland, the multi-award winning singer and recording artist, sadly passed away on January 1, 2011.

BroadwayWorld.com can sadly report that David Gurland, award-winning cabaret singer and longtime beloved part of the BroadwayWorld.com community was stricken suddenly on December 29, 2010 from a fatal cerebral hemorrhage. Our thoughts and prayers are with his partner, Rob Maitner, his family, friends and all those who loved him.

Appearances by his conservative, ex-gay character, Brother Barker, and stand-up by his baby brother, Jason Barker (direct from several appearances at Carolines on Broadway) fill out a festive evening capped by an expanded live performance of his hit YouTube video, 'A Lady GaGa Christmas Medley'. The show features both classic and new Christmas favorites as well as original music and is directed by Jared R. Pike.
