Theatre of NOTE continues its 2014 season with the West Coast premiere of BANSHEE,written by Brian C. Petti and directed by James R. Carey. BANSHEE will preview Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, and will open on Friday, October 3 at 8pm and run through Saturday, November 1 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

NATALIE DOUGLAS - the acclaimed vocalist hailed as "sensational" by Time Out New York and "stirring" by The New York Daily News - will debut the new concert "HELLO DOLLY…THE MUSIC OF DOLLY PARTON" on Monday, September 15 at 9:30 PM. Douglas honors another notably-buxom performer: the beloved singer, actor, songwriter and Broadway composer Dolly Parton. Selections including songs that Dolly wrote such as "Jolene," "Coat of Many Colors" and "I Just Might" from the Broadway musical 9 to 5, in addition to numbers that Dolly creatively covered like Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush" and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Natalie will be joined by her longtime Musical Director Mark Hartman (Broadway's Avenue Q, Sondheim on Sondheim) on piano, accordion and mandolin; Michael Blanco on bass; Scott Kuney on guitar and banjo; Joe Choroszewski on drums and Shanna Sharp on acoustic guitar.

Ben Rimalower, famous for his renowned solo piece PATTI ISSUES, has written a new solo piece, which he will begin to star in tonight at the Duplex. BAD WITH MONEY deals with Rimalower's struggles with money and excessive shopping, an addiction that has plagued him throughout his adult life. Directed by Aaron Mark, the play will run for two months, closing on November 6th and beginning tonight (September 4th). Tony Award-nominee Annaleigh Ashford and star of Book Of Mormon and War Horse, Matt Doyle will headline "Chasing The Day" a new song cycle by songwriter and Kinky Boots Associate Music Director Will Van Dyke. They will also be joined by If/Then star Tamika Sonja Lawrence and Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal) at 54 Below on Monday, November 17, 2014. The four actors will play two shows on November 17th (7:00 PM & 9:30 PM), with direction by Kerry Whigham and musical direction by Dominick Amendum. Originally released as an album on Sh-K-Boom Records in October 2010, Van Dyke's Chasing the Day has been reimagined as a song cycle about breaking up, breaking down, and breaking through, and will soon be available for theatrical licensing. Dorset Theatre Festival will present the song cycle from Dillingham City by the exciting writing team of Lucy Thurber and Matt Gould, as part of their New Play Reading Series on August 9th at 3 pm. The presentation, which will include songs from the show in development as well as a talk with the writers about their process, will be directed by Kent Nicolson, the acclaimed Director of Musical Theater and Literary Associate for Playwrights Horizons in New York City. A talk-back with the writers, cast and director will occur directly after the presentation.
