Acclaimed cabaret vocalist Stearns Matthews is proud to announce the release of his debut album, SPARK, on Saturday, November 1st, 2014. After six years of entertaining in cabaret rooms with “a voice as pure as rainwater” (William Westhoven, The Daily Record), Matthews leaps to the next stage of his career: recording. The recording showcases Matthews' musical versatility as well as dynamic range, and features a mix of new arrangements of time-tested standards, musical theater favorites, as well as a never-before-recorded song by John Bucchino, My Alligator and Me.

MAC nominee Jim Speake brings back his acclaimed show celebrating the music of Broadway composer Cy Coleman for two more performances. 'I'm A Brass Band, Jim Speake Sings Cy Coleman at the Duplex' will play tonight 11 October at 4:30pm and Sunday 19 October at 4:30pm. The show is in the Cabaret Room of The Duplex, 61 Christopher Street at 7th Ave. NY, NY 10014.

Previously scheduled to close on November 6, the show will be performed through December 18. Ben's addiction has driven him to extreme lengths all his life. In BAD WITH MONEY he charts his sometimes hilarious, sometimes harrowing struggle to overcome his problem - or get rich trying. Written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark, BAD WITH MONEY is being performed at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) on Thursday nights at 9:30 PM.

From October 21 to November 8, August Strindberg Repertory will transport Strindberg's 'Miss Julie' to an antebellum Louisiana plantation in a new interpretation conceived by Artistic Director Robert Greer and adapted by Edgar Chisholm from a translation by Greer. The production will include a ballet sequence, which Strindberg specified in the original manuscript and which has never been performed before. The piece will be directed by Robert Greer and choreographed by Ja' Malik.
