New Generation Theater Company is back at The Duplex Cabaret Theater with a stellar cast for 'You Will Be Found' for a matinee today, September 16th at 4:00pm.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Spongebob himself, Ethan Slater (The Spongebob Musical), and actress Katie LaMark (RENT, Mr. Robot) as guests of honor at the September edition of the Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame Mathieu's Soiree.

Hosted by five-time MAC Award nominee Drew Fornarola (off-Broadway's STRAIGHT) and directed by Tyler Spicer, this edition of the soiree will also feature poet Kirkwood Adams, dancer Ali Dietz, writer Eric Tipler, comedian John Griswold, actors Rachel Towne and Priyanka Krishnan, drag personality Chelsea Piers and singer Joseph Townsend. This is the 11th edition of the show, which has already featured over 150 individual artists and 25 Broadway guests.

Singer Linda Glick has been described as 'full of grace and dignity, leavened by a touch of continental cynicism' (Backstage, Eric Haagensen). She will unveil her newest cabaret show, 'Teach Me Tonight,' from October 18 to November 10 at Pangea Restaurant & Supper Club, 178 Second Ave. (betw. 11th & 12th Streets).

Mary [Micari] a specialist of dirty blues and vintage songs with a filthy flair is back again to bring you even more raucous, rowdy, bawdy blues, plus early rock and cabaret songs that will have you blushing more than anything out there today! Back-in-the-day, censorship made singers and songwriters work hard to hammer out sexy lyrics but under the cloak of double-entendres & clever turns-of-phrase. Rev. Mary brings these songs back to life with a theatrical flair as she honors the women who wrote them. Prepare for wild time and the hottest history lesson in ... well ... history!

Iceland in the 19th Century was not exactly an idyll; it was an island nation of farming and fishing communities, pretty much cut off from the much of the rest of the world. Crime was rare and capital crimes rarer still. So the country's criminal cases have become the stuff of legend, including the child rape case in Rifsaedasel of 1837, which is as infamous to Icelanders as The Manson Family is to Americans. Contemporary Icelandic playwright Hrafnhildur Hagalin revisits this infamous case with 'Guilty' (2014), a verse play that gracefully and provocatively examines issues of obsession and mercy which cling to it to this day.
