The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical is now booking through to May 2015. Over one million people have seen the show since it opened at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in November 2010. Capturing the imagination of young and old alike, Matilda The Musical continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre in London and in New York at the Shubert Theatre. Tickets are now on sale until Sunday 24 May 2015.
Christopher Sieber will officially make his debut as the tyrant Miss Trunchbull in Broadway's Matilda the Musical tonight, April 18. Sieber was previously scheduled to begin performances in March, but had to delay after he fractured a bone in his hand during rehearsals.

In February, Sieber fractured a bone in his hand during rehearsals, and was believed to begin performances next week, on Tuesday, April 8. Representatives for MATILDA have now confirmed to BroadwayWorld that Sieber will need additional time for his hand to fully heal.

Christopher Sieber, who will be Broadway's newest Miss Trunchbull in Matilda, will have to wait to play the tyrant headmistress on stage .During rehearsals for his debut as Miss Trunchbull in MATILDA THE MUSICAL last month, Sieber fractured a bone in his hand. He is now expected to begin performances on Tuesday April 8 if his hand is fully healed. Cast member Ben Thompson will perform the role beginning this Tuesday March 18 when Mr. Sieber had hoped to begin performances in the show.

MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Dodgers, announced today that a North American Tour will commence in May 2015. After technical rehearsals and performances in New Haven at the Shubert Theater, the tour officially opens at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and includes the SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre and Dallas' AT&T Performing Arts Center among others in the first season.
