GRAMMY Award-winning producer Fred Rister has announced the release of his final single, “I Want A Miracle (ft. Sam Martin & Chris Willis),” out today via Parametic Records and accompanied by an official music video (WATCH HERE). All proceeds from the single will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.

Local rock band Red Letter Day was chosen as a winner of the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC) for their original song, '202.' The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus announced that the winning band will perform at the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show in Anaheim, California on Jan. 28.

Matt Barri, the 17-year-old EDM producer/DJ and musician from Palos Verdes, CA, makes his music debut with a collaboration with acclaimed electro-pop singer and songwriter Emilie Brandt. Their single, 'All Out of Love,' produced by Barri with vocals and lyrics from Brandt, is released today by the independent labels the Barri Creative LLC and HELLAVISIONS LLC. 'All Out of Love' is available now to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and Amazon.

Golden Thread Productions, the first American theatre company devoted to the Middle East, presents What Do the Women Say?: Dismantling Patriarchy, its annual celebration of International Women's Day. This year's program showcases the work of leading Middle Eastern women artists that are working to expose and eradicate toxic masculinity at home, at work, and on the national stage. The event features a presentation by Yemeni-American visual artist Yasmine Diaz about her collage series, One Way or Another; a dramatic reading by Golden Thread Resident Artist Atosa Melody Babaoff of the short story "White Torture" by Iranian author Farnoosh Moshiri; a performance by Lebanese-American singer Naima Shalhoub featuring music from her debut album Live in San Francisco County Jail; and an excerpt from the documentary film The Judge by Erika Cohn and Sara Maamouri about the Arab world's first woman Sharia judge. After the presentations, Founding Artistic Director Torange Yeghiazarian will facilitate a conversation with the participating artists and the audience. Reem's California will sell food in the lobby starting at 6pm. The full program is 100 minutes without intermission.

Los Angeles-based artist/activist Terra Naomi is releasing the powerful Machine Age today, a reflective and resilient single marking the one year anniversary of 45's inauguration. All proceeds from Bandcamp sales of the track will go directly to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, GLAAD, Black Lives Matter, Girls Write Now and 350.org.
