Willemijn Verkaik Returns to WICKED this January!

WICKED, the award-winning West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to welcome back Willemijn Verkaik as 'Elphaba' and Sue Kelvin as 'Madame Morrible' from Monday 30 January 2017. Sarah McNicholas will also join the cast as 'Nessarose' on the same date.

She has performed in numerous Broadway shows, including RENT; Cinderella Enchanted, Dreamgirls; and Ain't Misbehavin', which earned her a Grammy nomination. Her television credits include being a top-five finalist on the first season of NBC's The Voice; a guest-starring role on the OWN Network's Wanda Sykes Presents: Herlarious; and voice-over work for the hit Nickelodeon cartoon, Wonder Pets.

National Black Theatre Selects Playwrights for I AM SOUL Residency

All-Chicago Cast Set for 'Thrones! The Musical Parody' at Apollo Theater

"Thrones! The Musical Parody" sweeps through the Windy City once again this fall at Apollo Theater Chicago (2540 N Lincoln Ave) with a talented ensemble of Chicago up-and-comers bringing the "Game of Thrones" send-up to life. Under the direction of Hannah Todd, the cast of "Thrones! The Musical Parody" includes Caitlyn Cerza, Nick Druzbanski, Madeline Lauzon, Beau Nolen, Victoria Olivier and Christopher Ratliff. This all-Chicago cast combines comedic talents and "knockout vocal harmonies" (Chicago Reader) to bring all six seasons of the HBO hit to the stage, recounting the journey of well-known characters such as Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, the Stark family, Daenerys Targaryen and more. Performances for the fall run of "Thrones! The Musical Parody" begin September 15; tickets ($29-$59) are on sale now and can be purchased at ApolloChicago.com or by calling the box office at 773.935.6100. The press performance takes place on September 21. Trap Door Theatre to Present FANTASY ISLAND FOR DUMMIES

The Trap Door Theatre presents Fantasy Island For Dummies (low cut daydream too near, too near), written by Ruth Margraff and directed by Kate Hendrickson, with original music composed by Nikos Brisco. The production opens Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 8 p.m. and runs through Saturday, November 5, 2016.
