The Rock Garden, one of Brooklyn's most innovative theatre companies will open 'BELOW THE BELT', Richard Dresser's acclaimed dark comedy about the survival of the semi-fit, quasi-clever and the somewhat competent, on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4 at The Access Theater (380 Broadway at White Street in Tribeca - 3 blocks below Canal).

Lookingglass, the only theater company that participated in the region-wide Burnham Plan Centennial, is proud to pay tribute to this important part of Chicago's history.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Ray Cullom, will present the beloved musical The Fantasticks, directed by Amanda Dehnert, from October 7 through November 1, 2009, on the Mainstage.

Never Land opens on Thursday, October 8, 2009 (previews October, 1-4) and runs Thursdays-Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm thru November 15, 2009. Long Wharf Theatre announces the cast of its upcoming production of The Fantasticks, book and lyrics by Tom Jones, music by Harvey Schmidt, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The play will run from October 7-November 1 on Mainstage.

PICT artistic director Andrew S. Paul directs a cast of thirteen in the Pittsburgh professional premiere of Alan Bennett's award-winning play The History Boys. Very funny and deeply moving, the play explores the anarchy of adolescence, the nature of history, and the methods and very purpose of education today. Featured in the production are Bernard Cuffling, Linda Kimbrough, Dave Droxler and Andy Lutz.

People's Light & Theatre Company kicks off their 35th Anniversary Season with the American Premiere of NATHAN THE WISE translated by Edward Kemp from the play by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. NATHAN THE WISE runs from September 16 - October 11, 2009, on the Main Stage. Artistic Director Abigail Adams directs. People's Light & Theatre is located at 39 Conestoga Road, Malvern.

Trustus Theatre is opening the world premiere of The Sweet Abyss, a new play by South Carolina playwright Jon Tuttle, on Friday August 14th at 8:00pm. This new show was commissioned by the Trustus Playwrights' Festival in 2008, and is now finding its' first home on the Trustus Main Stage.
