WHO YOU SEE HERE Runs Thru 3/23 At Barrow Group Theater

The Barrow Group Theatre Company will present a studio theatre production of WHO YOU SEE HERE by Matt Hoverman, directed by Stacy Shane, with performances starting on Friday, March 6, 2009 (Opening is Saturday, March 7th, 2009). WHO YOU SEE HERE is a four-character comedy about a small town couple whose love is tested when a charismatic but troubled movie star stumbles into their local AA meeting.

Matt Hoverman won the 2006 Fringe NYC Best Playwriting Award for his comedy IN TRANSIT. Matt is also the co-book-writer of Transport Group's THE AUDIENCE, which was nominated for three 2005 Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding New Musical, and is a 3-time finalist for the Actors Theatre of Louisville's Heideman Award. Director Stacy Shane's credits include 26 DATES AND COUNTING for The Barrow Group, DILUDED for Ars Nova and 4 ADULTS ONLY at the Gene Frankel Theatre. The cast includes Joe Forbrich (STUFF HAPPENS, Public Theatre; A SOLDIER'S PLAY, Second Stage; ROSE RAGE, The Duke at 42nd Street), Marika Becz (Old Globe, Southcoast Rep), Adam McLaughlin (New York Stage & Film, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Atlantic Theatre Company) and Melaena Cadiz (The Barrow Group, HERE Arts Center.)

Now in its 22nd season, The Barrow Group is an award winning off-Broadway theatre company under the co-artistic direction of Seth Barrish & Lee Brock. Recognition includes: Drama Desk Award for OFF-OFF BROADWAY EXCELLENCE (1995), and Drama Desk Nomination for OUTSTANDING PLAY (2005) for PENTECOST by David Edgar. THE TRICKY PART by Martin Moran, which was initially developed and produced by TBG, went on to a successful commercial run at the Promenade Theater produced by Jim Freydberg and received Drama Desk Nominations for BEST PLAY & BEST SOLO SHOW (2004).

Performances of WHO YOU SEE HERE run Fri.-Mon. at 8pm and Sun. at 4 & 8pm.
