Southern Rep's Acting Company to Present EVERYBODY

Southern Rep Theatre today announced that The Acting Company, Southern Rep's selected group of exceptionally talented local performers who collaborate and create with the organization annually, will present a production of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' EVERYBODY. A smash hit Off-Broadway in 2017, the production will be directed by Southern Rep's newly appointed Associate Artistic Director, Helen Jaksch, and will play a limited engagement, November 7 - 17, 2018 at Southern Rep's new permanent home located at 2541 Bayou Road, New Orleans.

Actors Theatre Presents A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2

Actors Theatre of Louisville announces the upcoming production of A Doll's House, Part 2, onstage from October 2 - November 4, presented as part of the Brown-Forman Series. Obie Award-winning playwright and Humana Festival alumnus Lucas Hnath's work takes the stage in Louisville once again with A Doll's House, Part 2, imagining protagonist Nora's return 15 years after the final, iconic moments of Henrik Ibsen's seminal masterpiece A Doll's House.

Rocklin Community Theatre Earns Top Honors With 11 Elly Awards in the Youth Division

Tonight marked a joy-filled celebration of excellence by Sacramento's youth performers at the 36th Annual Elly Awards- Youth Division at the Cosumnes Oaks High School Performing Arts Center in Elk Grove. Named for Eleanor McClatchy, a devoted patron of the arts and former publisher of the Sacramento Bee, the Elly Awards celebrates excellence in Sacramento's local and regional community theater. A grand total of 51 Elly Awards were given to individuals and theaters from across a 10-county region in the Youth Division. Sponsored by the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA), this semi-formal event was attended by over 600 active youth community theatre and high school members plus their families and friends. This year's Elly theme was a playful Elly's Through the Years.

Sutter Street Theatre Leads Elly Award Nominations - Full List!

Four hundred twenty-two (422) Elly nominees for the 2017-18 season were announced at an informal nomination reception on Sunday, August 12, 2018 beginning at 7pm at the Howe Avenue Theatre located inside Howe Avenue Park. More than 100 actors, directors, technicians, and producers were on hand to listen excitedly for their names to be called. This year's theme for the 36th annual Elly Awards is The Elly's in Review and formal attire is recommended.

The Classical Theatre Of Harlem Announces New Associate Artistic Director Carl Cofield

The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) is proud to announce the appointment of Carl Cofield as Associate Artistic Director. Curious Directive Presents New Augmented Reality Show GASTRONOMIC

Experimental theatre-makers curious directive's new show, Gastronomic is an Augmented Reality dining experience set on board an Airbus A380. The show places the audience on a long-haul flight where passengers are looked after by three chefs. 40 audience members are treated to a five-course tasting menu, all simultaneously with their own in-flight screen.

GRT Extends Neil Simon's RUMORS At Lonny Chapman Theatre

The Group Rep's well received production of Neil Simon's classic farce RUMORS, directed by Doug Engalla, produced by Alyson York, has been extended due to critical acclaim and sold out houses. The play about five neurotic couples who gather for a dinner party celebrating one couple's 10th anniversary, goes wildly awry when guests arrive early only to discover their host has shot himself, the hostess and servants are missing, and dinner not ready. Confusions and miscommunications mount, as the evening spins off into farcical hilarity. The play, which opened June 15, will run through August 11th at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, at the edge of the NoHo Arts District.
