Terry Martin, Producing Artistic Director for WaterTower Theatre, today announced details of a new community event called THE COMMUNITY CAST PARTY. The party will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at WaterTower Theatre from 7 pm to midnight. THE COMMUNITY CAST PARTY is designed to attract a wide audience of patrons who are interested in supporting WaterTower Theatre while enjoying an evening of dancing and entertainment with cuisine offered from many fine local restaurants . Attendees will have a unique opportunity to mix and mingle with many artists from the DFW acting community at the "open house" style event, and everyone is welcome.
The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) will present its fifteenth annual All-City Musical, RENT to crown the District's 2013-14 series of All-City Arts Programming. The production features the talents of over fifty CMSD students from across the District and will take place on the stage of the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare, this weekend, May 30 - June 1, 2014. Tony Sias, Director of Arts Education for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, co-directs the production with the CMSD All-City Arts Program's Managing Director, Kimberly Brown.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director and Loop Executive Producer Terry Martin today announced the winners of the Best of Loop 2014 in the three categories: Best of Main Space, Best of Studio Theatre, and Best of Stone Cottage. Loop passholders only were eligible to vote in all three categories. The voting took place last night and today via an email ballot.

The theme for this year's Gala is 'What the World Needs Now: A Tribute to Burt Bacharach.' Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will launch the world premiere of SEVEN AGES, a free touring production scheduled to visit twenty-two neighborhood venues throughout northeast Ohio, to kick off the company's 2014 series of Surround outreach programming. The one-act play is comprised of seven tales written by seven northeast Ohio playwrights (Nina Domingue, Mike Geither, David Hansen, Christine Howey, Anne McEvoy, Michael Oatman and Toni K. Thayer) and features a touring company of four actors directed by Lisa Ortenzi. The tour commences today, February 11th, continues through March 5th and is designed to support Great Lakes Theater's upcoming mainstage production of As You Like It at the Hanna Theatre, PlayhouseSquare which opens in April. All performances of the touring production are free and open to the public, with the exception of performances at area schools, which are private.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director and Loop Executive Producer Terry Martin today announced the line-up for the 2014 Out of the Loop Fringe Festival, March 6-16, 2014 at the Addison Theatre and Conference Centre. Seven world premieres highlight this year's festival as well as 12 new artists/companies making their Festival debut, plus several returning favorites. The Festival will include dance, theatre, cabaret artists and visual arts, and a play produced by WaterTower Theatre.
