Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 2014-2015 season with the 1955 cult classic THE GOLDEN APPLE. The one-night-only concert will take place at the Moss Theatre at New Roads School in Santa Monica on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm.

Meredith Willson's beloved family musical, THE MUSIC MAN, returns to the stage in an all-new concert staging starring the Marian of the classic film, Academy Award winner Shirley Jones, who will not only essay the role of Mrs. Paroo, but will serve as host and narrator. She will be joined on stage by her son, Patrick Cassidy as Prof. Harold Hill. A little known bit of Hollywood history: Shirley was pregnant with Patrick during the filming of The Music Man. Performances begin, appropriately enough, in Willson's home town (and model for River City) Mason City, Iowa tonight, September 18th.

Rubicon's November/ December HOLIDAY CENTRAL calendar offers a sparkling array of more than 35 shows and events for all ages. The festivities begin with the return of a holiday revue with six Broadway singers and a local children's chorus; followed by a late-night adult comedy presented in a cabaret setting; a poetic reading of wartime love letters; and culminating with an enchanting new musical from the Tony and Olivier Award-winning director of Les Miserables and Nicholas Nickleby and the creators of Jane Eyre and Daddy Long Legs, who will have a five-week residency at Rubicon during the holidays.

The stellar cast includes Joan Almedilla, Teri Bibb, Dina Bennett, Trey Ellett, Anthony Manough and Brian Sutherland, who have starred on Broadway in such shows as Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, 1776 and Rent, among others. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20 through SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and the big jolly man himself reunite with the spectacular Rubicon Family Christmas cast for a joyous celebration at the Ventura College Theatre for seven performances only. The stellar cast includes Joan Almedilla, Teri Bibb, Dina Bennett, Trey Ellett, Anthony Manough and Brian Sutherland who have starred on Broadway in such shows as Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, 1776 and Rent, among others. They are joined by an ensemble of talented young artists from the region: Daniel Brackett, Cassidy Craig, and Sarah Mehrnia from Ventura; Madeline Gambon from Camarillo; and Jessie Graham and Gus Graham from Santa Paula. This year's concert will also have a few new surprises, including a 60 member children's choir under the direction of concert pianist Miriam Arichea. Glorious renditions of holiday carols and contemporary songs-of-the-season will be performed in styles including classical, pop, jazz and gospel. The result is an hour and a half of the best-performed holiday music you're likely to hear all season. Anyone in search of an instant dose of Christmas spirit need look no further than A Rubicon Family Christmas Concert, the best and brightest live "Holiday Special" in town.

Company of Fools and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts present Happily Ever After?, a concert exploring fairy tales in the American musical theatre. For two nights only, tonight, November 9 and tomorrow the 10th at 7PM, the Liberty Theatre will come alive with music from some of Broadway's favorite fairy-tale based musicals including Into the Woods, Cinderella, Once Upon a Mattress and The Little Mermaid. This enchanted evening, directed by R.L. Rowsey and John Glenn, features several of Broadway's most dynamic artists.

On November 9 and 10, Company of Fools and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts present Happily Ever After?- an enchanting concert at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey that explores fairy tales in the American musical theatre. Happily Ever After? will feature music from some of Broadway's favorite fairy-tale musicals including Into the Woods, Cinderella, Once Upon a Mattress and The little Mermaid. R.L. Rowsey and John Glenn direct an ensemble cast of extraordinary talent-from Broadway and the Wood River Valley-to create the happiest of evenings. This program has been fully sponsored by Jeri Wolfson and all tickets revenue will support the evolving partnership between the Company of Fools and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts.
