Impro Theatre, now mid-way through its return engagement of Jane Austen Unscripted at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre in Pasadena, directed by Dan O'Connor and Paul Rogan, will present The Cross-Dress Version, two unique performances in which the boys play girls and the girls play boys, on Saturday, March 9 at 10:30pm and Sunday, April 7 at 7pm.

Rachel Weisz recently revealed on the UK's 'Daybreak' that she will soon make her Broadway debut. She revealed: 'I am going to do a play on Broadway. It's confirmed. I've never done Broadway so I'm very excited.' Though Weisz didn't confirm which show she'd be appearing in, recent reports have indicated that she will star alongside husband Daniel Craig in an upcoming revival of Harold Pinter's Betrayal.

National Corporate Theatre Fund Honors Hartford Stage

The National Corporate Theatre Fund (NCTF) will honor Hartford Stage and four other resident theatres celebrating their 50th anniversaries - Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Guthrie Theater, Seattle Repertory Theatre and Trinity Repertory Company - at the NCTF's annual Chairman's Awards Gala On Monday, April 29, at New York City's Pierre Hotel.

Marin Theatre and Virginia Stage's THE WHIPPING MAN to Play in Norfolk thru 3/17; Opens at MTC, 4/2

Marin Theatre Company, in a co-production with Virginia Stage Company, will stage the regional premiere of Matthew Lopez's Civil War drama The Whipping Man in Mill Valley from March 28 to April 21, 2013. MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis directs the production. Featuring popular Bay Area actors L. Peter Callender, Nicholas Pelczar and Tobie Windham, as well as the design team from MTC's 2011 San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award nominated production of Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, this co-production will rehearse and run at VSC in Norfolk, Virginia, from February 26 to March 17, 2013, before moving to MTC. Opening night at MTC is on Tuesday, April 2.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the acclaimed gay comedy/variety show - has announced its Spring 2013 season at The Duplex in New York's West Village. Each edition of The Meeting* honors a different gay icon; following the Elaine Stritch tribute in February, the rest of the season will honor Karen Carpenter (March 14), the movie 'Showgirls' (April 18) and Justin Vivian Bond (May 16). Special guests will be announced soon. After a sell-out year, The Meeting* will add a second performance each month due to popular demand; there are now shows at 7:000 PM and 9:30 PM.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Receives Sundance's Tennessee Williams Award

Sundance Institute has announced that playwright and Sundance Institute Theatre Lab alum Branden Jacobs-Jenkins will receive the first-ever Tennessee Williams Award from the Institute's Theatre Program, which supports the development of new work for the stage. Sundance Institute Emeritus Trustee Sally Field will present the honor and accompanying $10,000 grant at the Celebrate Sundance Institute benefit for its Theatre Program on April 8, 2013 at Stephan Weiss Studio in Greenwich Village.

William Petersen to Star in SLOWGIRL at Steppenwolf

Written by Ryan Scott Oliver and Brett Ryback, Darling is described as a coming-of-age story about a teenager, Ursula Morgan, who leaves behind her upper-class family and finds herself in the seedy underground of Depression-era Boston -- a world of sex, jazz and a mysterious drug called....fairy dust.

Pan Asian Rep Announces 36th Anniversary Season
