Gleeks, there's no suprise here: Glee is among the top 10 TV programs of the year to be honored by the American Film Institute on Friday, January 14, 2011. The American Film Institute will also honor the top 10 films of the year and will invite the creative ensembles for each of the films and TV shows to celebrate at a luncheon provided by the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. The AFI's top 10 films for 2010 are Toy Story 3, True Grit, The Social Network, Black Swan, Winter's Bone, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, Inception, The Fighter and The Town.
Joining Glee for top 10 TV programs for 2010 are Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Modern Family, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Pacific, 30 Rock, Temple Grandin and The Big C.
Syfy Greenlights ALPHAS Series

Syfy has enlisted Alphas (working title) to join its slate of original scripted series by greenlighting the wry, action-adventure project from writers Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand, The Avengers, The Incredible Hulk) and Michael Karnow, it was announced today by Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head of Original Content for Universal Cable Productions. Eleven episodes have been ordered in addition to the 90-minute pilot directed by Jack Bender (director and executive producer of Lost). Universal Cable Productions will produce the series with BermanBraun Television. Executive Producers are Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun and Gene Stein for BermanBraun and Zak Penn.
