Casting Society of America Launches Free Workshops for Actors with Disabilities Today

The Casting Society of America (CSA), in partnership with the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts, will hold a series of free workshops in February and March for Actors With Disabilities. The event is the next in the 'Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in Casting Initiative,' a series of conversations and workshops designed to effect concrete change in how actors in historically underrepresented communities are afforded access to job opportunities. The series began in September with a Town Hall gathering of artists and casting directors.
Broadway's FIDDLER ON THE ROOF to Donate Portion of Ticket Sales to Flint, MI This Month

The producers of the hit Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof announced this morning that the production will donate $2 from every full-price ticket purchased to the show for all February 2016 performances to The United Way of Genesee County's Flint Water Fund, which directly provides aid the Michigan city's residents, currently suffering from a critical drinking water contamination crisis.

The new Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is getting in the holiday spirit by celebrating the first night of Chanukah with four major events this Sunday, December 6. From DOROT on Upper East Side to Macy's and Hebro in Midtown to The Museum of Eldridge Street on Manhattan's historic Lower East Side, the city will be covered with FIDDLER cast appearances and performances to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced that Emmy® Award nominee Zachary Quinto will lead the cast of the New York premiere of Smokefall, by Noah Haidle and directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. Smokefall continues MCC Theater's season at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) with previews beginning February 4, 2016 and an opening night set for February 22. It is scheduled through March 13. Single tickets will go on sale January 5, 2016, but advanced tickets are currently available via subscription packages at www.mcctheater.org.

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Jam Theatricals are thrilled to announce the opening of the box office for the upcoming Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roofon Friday, October 9 at 10:00 AM with a special offer. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the original Fiddler's “Best Musical” Tony Award, seats will be available for $50. These seats for select winter performances must be purchased in person at the box office.
