MOM BABY GOD Comes to New York City, 6/3-7

MOM BABY GOD, Madeline Burrows' one-woman show based on her 2 years undercover at pro-life conferences taps into the smoldering political conflict in the US surrounding reproductive rights and is leaving audiences around the country inspired and galvanized to action. This summer, Smartt Productions is pleased to present MOM BABY GOD as part of New York City's 6th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Laguna Playhouse Presents Leslie Caron & David Engel in SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, Now thru 6/8

The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham are thrilled to present screen legend Leslie Caron, in her first Southern California theatrical performance in over 25 years! SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, written by Richard Alfieri, with choreography by Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) and directed by Michael Arabian (Waiting for Godot). SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS will also feature 6-time Ovation Award-winning actor David Engel. 'What an honor to have on our stage the incomparable Leslie Caron and the multi-talented David Engel,' remarks Wood. 'It's a dream cast and a dream come true. With Michael Arabian and Donna McKechnie directing and choreographing, this has to be one of the most anticipated productions in the Playhouse's storied history,' adds Wareham. SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS will begin previews tonight, April 26 and will open on Saturday, May 3 at 7:30pm and run through Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

Geffen Playhouse Adds SWITZERLAND, THE NIGHT ALIVE and Two More Shows to Its 2014-15 Season

The Geffen Playhouse has announced four plays for the eight-play 2014-2015 season, including the Co-World Premiere, with the Sydney Theatre Company, of the Geffen commissioned, Switzerland, written by Joanna Murray-Smith (The Female of the Species); the West Coast Premieres of The Night Alive, written by Olivier and Evening Standard Award winner and Tony nominee Conor McPherson (The Weir, The Seafarer) and directed by Geffen Artistic Director Randall Arney; and The Power of Duff, written by Stephen Belber and directed by Peter DuBois (Rapture, Blister, Burn); and The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, written by Scott Carter.

BP Oil Spill-Inspired Play, SPILL, Premieres at LSU's Reilly Theatre Tonight

Swine Palace (Reilly Theatre, Tower Drive - LSU Campus) will produce the world premiere of Leigh Fondakowski's SPILL, which will play today, March 12-30, 2014. SPILL is a multimedia play inspired by the 2010 British Petroleum (BP) oil spill, the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history. The project is the co-creation of playwright/director Leigh Fondakowski and visual artist Reeva Wortel and is based on interviews, photographs and court documents collected in the aftermath of the spill.

Michael Arabian Directs GOD OF CARNAGE at La Mirada Theatre, Now thru 2/16

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present the third production in its 2013-1014 season of shows, the 2009 Tony Award-winning play, GOD OF CARNAGE, written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Michael Arabian. Continuing its 26th Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents The Little Prince, produced in Association with The Actors Gymnasium, by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin. The Little Prince runs tonight, December 5, 2013 - February 2, 2014 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. MOM BABY GOD For One Night Only In New York, October 18

Double LTR Productions' MOM BABY GOD kicks off its national tour and makes its New York premiere on Friday, October 18th at 5pm at TADA! Theatre, 15 W 28th St. New York, NY 10001. Culture Project's Women Center Stage 2013 Festival, off to an extremely successful start that began July 8, will present the staged reading of SPILL tonight July 22, a new play about the Deepwater Horizon / BP oil spill, written and directed by Leigh Fondakowski, and created in collaboration with visual artist Reeva Wortel, with dramaturgy by Sarah Lambert, Kelli Simpkins, and Ms. Wortel. The one-night only performance is set for 8:00pm at Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street).
