The Tony Awards Administration Committee has been meeting all year to discuss the eligibility of the 2017-18 Broadway productions all leading up to Tuesdays big announcement... the Tony nominations.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met on April 27 for the fourth and final time this season to decide the eligibility of Broadway productions for the American Theatre Wing's 2018 Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. According to Radar, Lindsay Lohan will attend Mean Girls on Broadway tomorrow night! The report says that the actress, who originated the now-iconic role of Cady Heron in the 2004 film Mean Girls, was not previously invited to see a performance of the recently-opened musical.

Stars from some of the most popular shows on Broadway, including Angels in America, The Band's Visit, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, Hello, Dolly!, The Lion King, Mean Girls, Once on This Island and SpongeBob SquarePants, gathered today at the Minskoff Theatre for the 32nd annual Easter Bonnet Competition. What were the results of this fundraising season? A whopping $5,721,879!

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators covering New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, announced today (April 24, 2018) its nominees for the 2017-18 season. Broadway's "Come From Away" starJenn Colella along with "The Band's Visit" sensation Katrina Lenk presided over the (11AM) announcement ceremony in the Oak Room at New York's renowned Algonquin Hotel (59 W 44th Street). 

Earlier this week, the cast of Mean Girls went into the studio at Power Station at BerkleeNYC to record Mean Girls' Original Broadway Cast Recording. Check out the photos below!

On last night's Tonight Show, Barrett Wilbert Weed, currently playing Janice in Mean Girls on Broadway, performed 'I'd Rather Be Me.' Tina Fey, the writer of the musical, as well as the movie it is based on, was on hand to introduce Barrett's performance. Watch the video below!

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2018 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by Tony® Award winners Harriet Harris, Julie White and Tony® Award nominee Christopher Sieber at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online right here at BroadwayWorld.com.
