Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) continues its 2018-19 season with Paula Vogel's "A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration." Elizabeth VanDyke will direct. Paul McGill (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will choreograph The Music Man at Asolo Rep this fall. Directed by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), the production will star Noah Racey (Never Gonna Dance) and run November 13 through December 29, 2018. Additional casting and creative team members will be announced at a later date.

Broadway star and Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea, Zorro) will bring her acclaimed concert act, This Broad's Way, to The Rubicon Theatre as part of the Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Concert Series. The concert will be performed for two nights only: Saturday Nov. 17th at 8p and Sunday Nov. 18th at 2pm.

Cinedigm announced tday that it has acquired North American distribution rights to the intense revenge thriller, RIVER RUNS RED, starring Taye Diggs (THE BEST MAN HOLIDAY, CHICAGO), George Lopez (LOPEZ TONIGHT, RIO 1& 2), Luke Hemsworth (HICKOCK, WESTWORLD), RJ Mitte (BREAKING BAD) and John Cusack (CON AIR, THE PAPERBOY). Cinedigm will release the picture in select theaters and On Demand and Digital November 9, with a Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD release to follow December 11, 2018.

Directed by Taye Diggs, with choreographer Jenny Parsinen, associate director Shannon Stoeke, and music and vocals by Madison McFerrin, the piece takes a raw and honest look at the limitations, stereotypes and obstacles that the world attempts to place on men of color through their discussions of love, race, education, family, and history.

Film Mode Entertainment and Branded Pictures Entertainment are thrilled to announce the additions of Adrian Grenier(Entourage) and Mya Taylor (Tangerine) to the cast of STAGE MOTHER, a new dramatic comedy, set in the drag queen world of San Francisco. The film is set to go into production on September 14, 2018 in Canada, with much of the filming to take place in Nova Scotia. Rights for the film will be available at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this month. Film Mode Entertainment's Clay Epstein and Branded Pictures Entertainment founder and producer J. Todd Harris announced the project this spring in Cannes.
