The fun begins on with Alan Safier as George Burns in the Tony-nominated play Say Goodnight Gracie, a hilarious celebration of the life of George Burns, and continues all season long with an overflowing assortment of comedy, music and dance.

The Award-winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), is pleased to announce their 14th season will begin with a world premiere play by Cody Daigle (resident playwright for The Playhouse Tulsa's 2013-14 season) called In The Bones, directed by Dev Bondarin, beginning November 6, 2014.

The gala honored Euripides Pelekanos who is the co-founder and CEO of Queens favorite burger spot, Bareburger. 2014 marks Queens Theatre's 25th Anniversary Season which coincides with the 50th and 75th anniversaries of the 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs. In celebration Queens Theatre will produce THE WORLD?S FAIR PLAY FESTIVAL (WFPF), a presentation of ten original ten-minute plays inspired by the 1939 and 1964 World?s Fairs. Both World?s Fairs brought families, friends and total strangers together from around the country and across the world to experience a vision for the future in performances, exhibitions and art. The Theaterama, in which Queens Theatre is housed, is one of only three buildings constructed for the 1964 World's Fair that is still standing.

During Wojtunik's six years as Artistic Director, he successfully raised the company's artistic profile and solidified APAC's place as a respected developer and producer of new works. The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) announced today, that as of April 14, 2014, Erin Moore will be the new Executive Director, replacing Taryn Sacramone, who resigned last June. This is the culmination of a nearly year-long search for that candidate whose love for the performing arts is matched only by her commitment to further the cultural vibrancy of Queens. Moore's first production as Executive Director will be Rodgers & Hammerstein's Allegro, directed by APAC's Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik, opening May 1st, 2014.

The Award-Winning Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) has announced the world premiere production of a (mostly) non-violent, romantic comedy by Sandy Rustin's (Rated P [For Parenthood]) THE COTTAGE directed by Adam Dannheisser (Rock of Ages, resident director/performer). THE COTTAGE will play a three week limited engagement at Good Shepard United Methodist Church, 30-44 Crescent St (@30th Rd), in Astoria, Queens. Performances begin tonight, November 7 and continue through Saturday, November 23. Opening Night is Saturday, November 9 at 8 p.m.
