Carnegie Hall's 2018-2019 season is fast approaching, and we are looking forward to exciting new projects and outstanding concerts! Highlights below include Carnegie Hall's Opening Night Gala with the San Francisco Symphony led by Michael Tilson Thomas as he embarks on his season-long Perspectives series; the launch of pianist Yuja Wang's Perspectives series; concerts curated and performed by Chris Thile, holder of the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair; the debut of Decoda, featuring alumni of Ensemble Connect; concerts celebrating the 50th anniversary of the New York String Orchestra and the 90th birthday of pianist Leon Fleisher; and, coming in spring 2019: a citywide festival-Migrations: The Making of America.

Tamara Harvey, Theatr Clwyd's Artistic Director and Executive Director Liam Evans-Ford, today announce Theatr Clwyd and Paperfinch Theatre's co-production of Hansel & Gretel: Fairytale Detectives, based on the Brothers Grimm tale, as an immersive Christmas adventure for families. This joins the previously announced Dick Whittington - The Purrrrrfect Rock 'N' Roll Panto, written by the award-winning Christian Patterson and directed by Zoe Waterman and Llew a'r Crydd, Theatr Clwyd and Pontio's first co-production written and directed by Emyr John.
CHICAGO, the longest-running American musical on Broadway, makes its long-awaited debut at the Moonlight Amphitheatre September 12 - 29 at 7:30 p.m. Two CHICAGO vets closely associated with the Broadway production bring extra spark to The Moonlight. Terra C. MacLeod, currently starring in the Broadway production of CHICAGO as Velma, takes on the role of Roxie at The Moonlight. Roxane Carrasco, playing Velma at The Moonlight, has played the same starring role in the Broadway production. Fellow Broadway vet David Engel returns to The Moonlight stage as Billy Flynn. MacLeod is also co-directing the Moonlight production alongside James Vasquez. Corey Wright, recently appearing in the Broadway national tour production of CHICAGO, choreographs while JD Dumas is musical director and Kenneth Gammie is conductor. Welcoming the audience to get involved in the action, the Saint Sebastian Players (SSP) open the company's 38th season with the multiple Tony Award-winning musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood with book, music and lyrics by Rupert Holmes. Performances are October 26-November 18, 2018 at SSP's home in the lower level of St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago. Starting this season, SSP Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday matinees remain at 2 p.m.
