Ensemble Connect embarks on its 12th season with a new group of young professional classical musicians joining the fellowship program from around the world. Following a rigorous audition process, 18 fellows were selected from across the United States and also from Israel, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, Hungary, and Korea. The fellows will perform 12 concerts in the New York City area this season at venues including Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Paul Hall at The Juilliard School, Our Saviour's Atonement Lutheran Church and the Jackson Heights Branch Library as part of Carnegie Hall Citywide, and in Saratoga Springs, NY as part of Ensemble Connect's continuing biannual residency at Skidmore College.

Performing at the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel in Parkville, Abduraimov will perform one of the world's most beloved piano concerto's, Ludwig Von Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 in C-major, Op. 15. In his mid-20's when he completed the work, Beethoven fashioned it as a virtuoso work to showcase his own skills as a pianist. Ioudenitch commented on having Behzod perform this work with the ICM Orchestra, "The work is known to have a kind of radiance, a youthfulness. The energy is high with lots of charm, perfect for Behzod."
Stanislav Ioudenitch, Artistic Director of Park International Center for Music (Park ICM), announced today that his protégé, Behzod Abduraimov, will return to Kansas City on September 28th, following rave reviews at the Hollywood Bowl in July. In a review of the concert, The Los Angeles Timesreported, “Uzbekistani pianist Behzod Abduraimov is fast becoming one of the finest musicians of his generation.”The Los Angeles Times has also been quoted as saying of Abduraimov, “He has fingers that seem as though they were made to create rainbows.”
