Deadline reports that a new musical film featuring the music of Diane Warren will land at Paramount Pictures. Tamara Chestna is on board to write the script.

Dates have been announced for the Waterbury return engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC), Utah's leading destination for brave, contemporary theatre, presents the world premiere of FOUR WOMEN TALKING ABOUT THE MAN UNDER THE SHEET by Elaine Jarvik. The new work, which marks Jarvik's third play to receive a New Play Sounding Series reading and, subsequently, a full production at SLAC, will run in the Chapel Theatre March 12 through 22, 2020.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) announced today the cast and creative team for House of Joy, the fifth show in the theatre's 44th season. The production, written by Madhuri Shekar and directed by Sam Woodhouse, the theatre's Artistic Director, and Arpita Mukherjee, will run March 5 – 29, 2020, in San Diego REP's Lyceum Space Theatre, with previews March 5 – 10 and press opening on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m.

Park International Center for Music (Park ICM) confirmed today that their 2019-2020 performance season at midtown's intimate 1900 Building would continue with internationally renowned pianist, Behzod Abduraimov. Behzod will perform the repertoire he played at Carnegie Hall in December to rave reviews.

The Woodstock Film Festival announced today that pioneering film distributor Tom Quinn, CEO and Founder of NEON, will be the recipient of the 2020 Honorary Trailblazer Award. Quinn was chosen for his commitment towards taking bold, creative risks through acquiring and distributing films that exist outside of cookie-cutter Hollywood conventions, like Bong Joon Ho's PARASITE, which made history last Sunday with four Academy Awards®, becoming the first non-English-language film to claim best picture.  

Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and Honolulu Theatre for Youth announce the state finals for Poetry Out Loud. The competition, presented in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, is part of a national program that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance, and competition. Tamara Tunie has been set to star in Ghost Bike, a dramatic indie short film, directed and written by Mark Blane (upcoming recurring role in the J.J. Abrams/Sara Bareilles helmed AppleTV+ drama Little Voice). Ghost Bike is Blane's follow-up to his debut feature film Cubby which had an international festival run and North American release in theaters and on VOD platforms in 2019. Cubby, which Blane starred in, wrote, and co-directed, was recently nominated in the 'Buried Treasure' category of the 26th Annual Chlotrudis Awards for Independent Film. Houston Grand Opera (HGO) announced today the winners of the 32nd annual Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers Concert of Arias, which took place in the Cullen Theater of the Wortham Theater Center. This is the fourth year the Concert of Arias was streamed live on Facebook, and the third for livestreaming on YouTube. The livestream was hosted by HGO Studio alumna Jamie Barton. She is currently performing the title role in La favorite and placed third in the 2007 Concert of Arias. The winners were announced during the second portion of the program.
