The second annual Broadway Sings for PKD, a concert benefitting the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, will be offered Saturday, February 2nd at The Duplex in NYC.

BIG FISH, a new musical based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 Columbia Pictures film written by John August, will open Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). Directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (Contact, The Producers, The Scottsboro Boys), with music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony Award nominee Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, The Addams Family), a book by Grammy and BAFTA Award nominee John August (Frankenweenie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Big Fish begins previews on Broadway Thursday, September 5, 2013. The Public Theater's acclaimed epic musical Giant closes today, December 16, after playing an additional two weeks. With book by Sybille Pearson, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, and directed by Michael Greif, Giant officially opened on Thursday, November 15 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 2.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that the cast of the acclaimed epic musical GIANT will enter the recording studio in January to create an original cast album, which will be released by Ghostlight Records in spring 2013. GIANT officially opened at The Public on November 15 and features a book by Sybille Pearson, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa, and direction by Michael Greif. The show will end its limited run at The Public Theater at Astor Place on Sunday, December 16 following a final two-week extension.

The Off Broadway Musical Giant will perform in Cabaret Cares tonight, December 3rd at 7:00 PM. Cabaret Cares is the the monthly fundraising event for Help Is On The Way Today. Help Is On The Way Today was founded by Cabaret Producer Joseph Macchia and is a non for profit that helps children and teens living with HIV and AIDS In New York City living with HIV and AIDS. Since its start 7 years ago Cabaret Cares had raised over $74,000. The series was also honored with Three MAC Awards and a Bistro Award.

The Public Theater announced today that it will extend the acclaimed epic musical Giant two additional weeks. The production must close on Sunday, December 16.

Director Rob Ruggierio's production of the classic, like the ups and downs experienced while riding a carousel horse (the carousel is wonderfully recreated for the prologue on the restrictive Goodspeed stage), has moments of delight and some disappointments.

The Arvada Center came away with the top honor last night, Monday July 16 at the 7th Annual Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Awards, a local celebration of the theatre community. The event, attended by 500 theatre supporters was held at the L2 Arts and Culture Center in Denver.

Ghostlight Records, alongside Transport Group Theatre Company, has just released the Original Cast Recording of Michael John LaChiusa's critically-acclaimed new musical, QUEEN OF THE MIST. The recording, which was made possible with generous support from The Shen Family Foundation, is available today everywhere music is sold.
