 TRAIL OF TEARS, a startling new docudrama chronicling the effects of the Native American Removal Act on present-day Native Americans, will receive its world premiere in a production presented by Rebel Theater, The Eagle Project and The Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Performances begin July 10, 2015.

Bea Gonzalez will be honored with the 4th annual Louis G. Marcoccia Award for Exemplary Service to Syracuse Stage at the Gala Event taking place at Schine Student Center on Syracuse University's Campus tonight, June 19, 2015. The event features a cocktail reception, silent auction, and dinner followed by a concert by Grammy Award-winning Blues artist, Keb' Mo'.

Babes With Blades Theatre Company is proud to announce its 18th anniversary season, featuring two world premieres, written and directed by women. First up will be Patchwork Drifter by BWBTC Ensemble member Jennifer L. This summer, a transition in leadership will begin at Syracuse Stage as Timothy Bond, producing artistic director, and Jeffrey Woodward, managing director, have announced plans to pursue new opportunities.

The Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees announced today the appointment of Jeffrey Woodward as managing director of the 56-year-old organization. Woodward's experience includes Syracuse Stage and 17 years at McCarter Theatre Center. The appointment follows the departure of Heather M. Kitchen, who announced her retirement in September 2014. Woodward will formally assume his post in mid-July.

Directed by Jessica Thebus and developed through Northlight's Interplay Series, the musical is adapted from the Northlight-commissioned play These Shining Lives. The production will run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, from May 8 - June 14, 2015. Shining Lives: A Musical opens tonight, May 15 and 16, 2015.

A young woman's spirit soars with newfound awareness in Tennessee Williams' quiet drama Summer and Smoke, where the freedom of youth collides with the expectations of society. Directed by Terry Schreiber, Summer and Smoke will be performed at the T. Schreiber Theatre, located at 151 West 26th Street, on the 7th Floor from tonight, May 6 - June 6. Member of the press are invited as of Saturday, May 9th.

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing the artistic teams for their 44th annual summer season of professional theatre at the Little York Pavilion in Dwyer Park.  This year's creative staff includes many new artists to Cortland, some with Tony-Award winning credits from Broadway.
